NVIDIA Shield (2017). Every time I open the YouTube app, or choose a video in the channel bae, or follow a link to a YouTube video (eg a trailer in Google Play) it doesn't show me the video I want but it plays the last video I selected from within the app.

It's driving me crazy, and it doesn't happen when I cast from YouTube. Anyone experienced this and know how to stop it?

I can't find any good media players that do both video and photos does anyone have any recommendations? Need a simple app that will let me scroll through photos and videos from an external hard drive and or Google photos.

Any decent players to stream torrents I added to my RD? I tried torrentium TV but it seemed unreliable. I got one to play but the same file wouldn't play anymore later. Tried with vlc mx and the native player which seemed to work best.

I'm using a mi box s, is /sdcard the internal memory or the USB key? Trying to set the temp folder to the key see if more space would help.

I always keep my Shields system volume at max and use the volume controls on my soundbar. But lately everytime I wake my shield I noticed the Shields volume lowers itself to around 75% or so and I have to turn it up. Any ideas why? If it matters I use a Harmony remote and have an activity that turns everything on and wakes the Shield.

Hello, I have a very bizarre situation : the Amazon prime app on my android tv streams the content inky in black and white. The interface itself is colored and the rest of the apps (youtube) display colors properly. Any ideas from where it would come as an issue? Even the preview is in color.

I have a new philips ambilight 7304. 55 inch android TV. I connect it to wireless but only youtube works. Netflix will not work. Prime video will not work. BBC iplayer will not work - nor all the channel on demand services i tried (probably more). I install a network and speed test app on the TV and it says all connected fine... good speeds etc. IPV6 is turned of in my router already (previous office 365 issue). I have tried different routers. separate wireless access points. Even tethered through my phone. Exact same thing every time.

The strangest part is that I have a 4k firestick... that works fine and worked fine in the previous tv (that I also have setup 2 feet below the Philips while i troubleshoot). However, when plugged into the Philips TV this firestick behaves exactly like the TV. Youtube works but no Netflix, no prime. Again speed test works and all seems fine with the connection. I cannot get my head around this bit at all.

I have factory reset everything. tried different ssid names, cleared all data, cleared cache (as well as the factory rests). Nothing works.

No other device in my house... which all goes through the same internet connection and hardware does this - everything just works.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

So i used to increase the size of the video successfully on mx player via display>>video zoom before the new mibox update. Is it just me or its happening to everyone else. If so could you guys recommend me the next best alternative video player in order to readjust the aspect ratio on your tv?

I have a harmony hub and remote and I LOVE the thing but the no mic with my shield is starting to bum me out. Are there any comparable remotes?

I have a weird bug on my TV. When I watch Youtube for example every time I turn it louder or pause it skips 1 second. With Netflix its worse. When I turn the TV louder it suddendly turns the sound off for about 2-3 seconds and when I pause the Movie doesnt stop but continues for also 2-3 seconds but witz no sound. Did somebody else had that issue and if yes how can I fix it?

Hello, as title says I have all 3 things, LG49UM7100 and im using it with MI BOX S, yesterday I bought myself magic remote and tried testing it with Mi box but the pointer thingy does not work properly on MI Box as well home button just opens native LG home menu, is there a way to pair it so it would respond only MI box s menu when it's on, did i pair it incorrectly somehow ? Any tips or tutorial how to make it work as standart remote for my Mi box would be appreciated.

So, I could use my MiBox S pretty normal when it was on Android 8.X. After upgrading, I was not able to access the settings of my TV on the Google Home App. I deleted the device from the app in order to add it again, but now my GH app can't found the device.

Anyone struggling just like me?

Is it because of copyright stuff bla bla?

Sometimes when I watch a YT video or TV channel it can be very handy to be able to immediately take a screenshot, on big screen, on high resolution.

But those screenshots are always black....

Fun fact, when I open Multi-view to open 1+ channels in Tivi Mate the 1st opened stream is always black while all other are visible so I can actually make a screenshots of them.

Any fix for this?

1. HDR content plays well, although first 30 seconds can expect random stutter which self stops afterwards.
2. Bigger problem with Dolby Vision, the whole screen flashes different transparent colours and random stutter.
3. While watching any content on PrimeVideo app, if I try using the TV menu during the watching process, the video and sound will stutter.

My particular tv (Toshiba 55U7950) has WCG, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10+ with Android 8 (soon they release Android 9).
