So i used to increase the size of the video successfully on mx player via display>>video zoom before the new mibox update. Is it just me or its happening to everyone else. If so could you guys recommend me the next best alternative video player in order to readjust the aspect ratio on your tv?
i used kodi to adjust the aspect ratio by adding black bars, but after the new update i can't get it to work like that, instead i get a zoomed image, so maybe you could check it out. i initially only wanted to play video files with the correct aspect ratio on my weird 16:10 tv (who thought it was a good idea when virtually every tv content is 16:9 i have no idea) but there are some nice plugins as well
Video zoom is not the same as changing the actual videos size for your screen.
Pause any video in MX Player & select/tap the bottom right icon that shows up til you find the display mode you need/want: stretch, crop, 100% or Fit to screen (the best one when you have it always obey aspect ratio, as well, especially for 4:3)
Leave zoom alone & on its default setting.
I use MX Player Pro myself, but haven't experienced this issue. The next best player would probably be VLC. You will probably see others recommend Kodi in 3.. 2.. 1..
