I have recently bought a usb hub to use with my mi box s to be able to use my keyboard, usb joystick, and an extra storage. And it has all worked fine, except for the storage.

When I transformed my pendrive into a internal storage, everything slowed down a lot(Netflix, Amazon prime) is this a problem with the usb hub, the pen drive, both? None?

Guys, gals. Would like some advice, if possible. I've been using a Shield TV w/ Logitech Harmony Hub & Elite for a few years now. I mainly use the Elite, because I am really not a fan of using my smartphone to control my TV. No tactile feedback, distraction etc.

The problem I'm facing; I'm trying to operate the Hulu Android (non-TV) app w/ just the controller. This is impossible, because you need to be able to use swipe and manually navigate the pointer. The stock remote (Logitech Harmony Elite) software does not support this, nor do any rebind/remap apps as far as I can tell, with the exception of 'Ease Joypad' but this program is far from ideal and honestly a huge hassle to operate. Simply put I'd like to do the following: bind, or temporarily trigger an app, that gives me the ability to use the D_PAD keys for swipe/pointer navigation.

I've tried using Puffin (it has D_PAD swipe/pointer navigation build in), and some other browser with similar support, instead of using the dedicated app, but that does not seem an option w/o using a hardware geolocation spoofer.

It is probably possible with Tasker, I reckon. But I am not at all savvy when it comes to Tasker or similar solutions. So I'd prefer something that a bit more idiot-proof. Because I'm an idiot, you see.

Reason I'm not using the Android TV Hulu app because it has a location verification as soon as you login (only Live subscriptions do, fyi), with only 4 changes per year allowed. This is a problem, because I am sharing the account with my sister who lives in the US.

Any help appreciated. Got an idea? Shoot! I'm out of ideas personally.

Once it has rebooted it seems to fine.

I had Voice Match on my 2nd gen Chromecast, so if person X asked assistant to play something from Netflix, it'd play from X's profile. Now, when Netflix app on Chromecast has X's profile selected, then when X ask to play something it'd work properly, but if Y ask to play something, it'd play from X's profile. Really annoying. A serious downgrade from the previous gen. If I had known it'd be like that I wouldn't have bought it. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

So I'm refurnishing my room and currently at the point where I'm researching new Tv's to get. My only 'need' for this new Tv is that it be a smart tv. From what I understand, the two main options are either a Roku Tv or an Android Tv. After looking into both a little further, I feel like the general consensus is that the Android Tv is the better option. However, I keep seeing the word "shield" thrown around and I'm not exactly sure what that means. Is this an additional purchase I would have to make for the Tv or is it included? If anybody can explain this to me in layman terms, that would be great.

I just bought a JBL Link bar, I know not the most flawless product.

I followed the setup process and all worked well, but it didn't listen to my "Hey google" commands, so I decided to factory reset it from the menu.

But now after the factory reset I keep running into an issue during setup where it says "network_name can't connect to internet". If gives me this error with WiFi as well as with ethernet. Network is working fine so that can't be it.

So Im basically stuck in the setup now and I'm looking for something along the lines of a hard reset button combo or anything since I don't see any reset pinholes on the body.

All help appreciated.

EDIT:

The error is also present when connecting to my phone's hotspot on either 2.4 or 5ghz.

Since the last update, I have lost the ability to save videos to playlist. There used to be an option "save", but not any more.

I can save videos in the main view by "click and hold" which opens a new menu on the right hand side (not very intuitive), but not so in the playing screen.

Am I missing something?

Hello there. I have a Sony Bravia KD-55X7500H in which the time and date always resets and thus, disconnects the wifi connection. I noticed that the date always resets to the device’s kernel version (mine is January 4) Could there be a significance or should I have it replaced?

Let's say I've got an HDMI streaming stick. Preferably a CCwGTV, but others still apply.

It is connected to an HDMI switch 2in-1out with a gaming console on other input.

The switch is connected to a HDMI audio extractor, leading audio to the audio system.

HDMI out connected to a HDCP Emulator/dummy with a passthrough. Essentially this should do the HDCP handshake, even if TV is off.

Then the emulator out goes to the tv screen.

Summary:

AndroidTV streamer -> HDMI Switch -> HDMI Audio Extractor -> HDMI Dummy with passthrough -> TV Screen.

The idea behind this monstrosity to have Android tv and Gaming Console working as a smart speaker even if the TV is off.

What issues will i have because the chain is long and full of terrors?

I'll start:

• HDMI-CEC will not work
• [unconfirmed] HDCP handshake will fail more times than comfortable resulting black screen
• [unconfirmed] Desynchronized audio and video
• [unconfirmed] Video latency unbearable for gaming

I have the CCwGTV and am trying to figure out what is the difference between this "new" android tv launcher some people are talking about. From the pictures they look exactly the same??

I have a TCL android rv but I think because Of my location, I won't be getting the update anytime soon.

Is there any other way to get the new Android TV UI ?

I've bought the latest GCC with Android TV and I'm finding the device incredibly frustrating.

30 minutes to type some long URLs and passwords I needed (setup was easy though) and then I wanted to download an app and there was no way I could find apps in the app store, so I had to go to Settings > Apps > Goole Store > Open App.

WTH is this? Is there no easy way to open the app store in this thing?
