Hello there. I have a Sony Bravia KD-55X7500H in which the time and date always resets and thus, disconnects the wifi connection. I noticed that the date always resets to the device’s kernel version (mine is January 4) Could there be a significance or should I have it replaced?
Yes, your date and time causes the problem, try resetting the tv or idk, put it on automatic mode if it isn't
Today I fixed a neighbour's Bravia TV internet connection by hooking it up to a digital antenna.
It was also an issue with the time synchronisation, but all options to change the time settings are greyed out on her TV. After finding a number of terrestrial channels, the TV picked up the time from them and voilá: internet connection was restored. I immediately started a firmware updated and hope this problem will not occur anymore (for instance when power is cut from the TV).
I’ve got the same tv and suffer with the same bugs. Each update seems to get better but it’s still there.
Do you also have it where it will reboot when coming out of standby?
The "connected no internet" bug can usually be solved by updating the tv manually using a usb stick loaded with the update from the Sony website. Just Google for your model number to find the latest version.
