You're talking about the new Android TV interface? Which is basically the same interface as the Chromecast with Google TV... The old Android TV interface is pretty ugly.
Since the mods kept locking the other people's threads I had to create a new one just to ask this question.
The Shield launcher is clean & uniform, LauncherX is ad-ridden garbage.
There is no YouTube TV tab in the new one.
The new Android TV launcher is an update to the existing Android TV launcher. It adds a discovery tab with recommendations inside, it updates the channels on the home screen and gives a new app drawer. Teh Google TV interface is a completely new UI where recommendations are sprinkled all around the UI, it has no channels like Android TV and has a different app drawer. IMO the Android TV update is what Google TV should have been.
