I'm looking to make a digital bulletin board. Other than Google Photos, are there any Google or Android TV apps that allow me to do this, also with remote access (web client) to add/alter content?

I got an Sony Android TV yesterday and I was hoping I would be able to control it from my Google Home. Some things like changing the volume works but other basic stuff like changing channels doesn't seem to. Does anyone know if this is possible? All the guides I've found on controlling Android TV from Google are really just how to control the Chromecast bit of Android TV.

Can I do that without logging into either the stock app or Smart Youtube TV?

My Hisense TV forced a system update that made it impossible to uninstall the Android TV home update that enables "recommendations". I've found several posts about blocking androidtvwatsonfe-pa.googleapis.com at the router level, and was wondering if this would also prevent future system updates from being forced on the TV.

Back story

House caught fire April 23 and this tv was in the basement and I had my cousin take care of it until I found an apt to stay in.

Fast forward to today I finally had him bring it over and it turned on without out issue then randomly turned of while I was pressing the buttons on the back and now won't turn back on

Model tv: Phillips 4k 55inch android tv.

Other : the tv is around or less then 2 years old with little use

The screen didn't have any damage when it turned on the buttons seemed to work

So uh, when I press the home tab on my remote it only shows black but it has a sound on it. I don’t know what to do plus i think the screen has a problem?

When the screen turn to black there is some kind of violet on it that’s glitching. But my problem is really the home tab, it’s when I press it, nothings gonna show up only black screen.

I tried to picture reset but nothing happened, I also tried to unplug and plug the outlet but still... nothing. How do I reset this? I cant find the reset button even in the system settings. Please help meeeeee

Hi all. Anyone else experiencing this? On the Android TV menu, it'll constantly refresh. By which I mean the screen will go black for a couple of seconds, then the menu will re-appear. Often, when running an Android TV app, for example, Netflix, it'll 'refresh' itself back to the Android TV menu. Even worse, when watching live TV, after approximately 30 seconds, it'll go back to the AndroidTV menu again, making it completely impossible to watch the TV. This usually happens after the TV has been off during the night/day. The only solution I've been able to find is to unplug and then replug the power, then it will work until the TV is off for some hours. Everything should be up-to-date.

I am planning to purchase a Mibox S and I plan to direct all my audio through my wireless earbuds. Do wireless earbuds work well with it or are there any issues like:
-Static
-Audio/Video Sync
-Sound cutting out etc.

Hi guys, I have Mi TV Stick which connects to WiFi when 5ghz channel is set to 40, but my router by default was channel 100 and it is supported good by other devices.

In the first setup when I bought the Stick, I chose USA as my region because Macedonia was not listed there. So could the region be a problem for this? Is there anyone who lives in Europe and has the same problem when channel 100 is selected?

Title. Basically my TV won't go into screensaver mode. When it works it's supposed to display pictures but all it displays now is a white screen. This just started happening about an hour ago. I tried fully turning it off but that didn't work. Anyone else run into a similar problem?

EDIT: Looks like changing the network & internet fixed it. Maybe turning the wifi off and on will fix it too but I'll have to try that next time the screensaver breaks.

I have an internal NGINX server that serves up a simple html webpage with an embedded HTML5 video player that plays an HLS stream from a camera. This works fine on Chrome on Windows or Mac, but I'm looking for a way to play that directly on a Sony Android TV.

Since Chrome isn't available for androidtv (don't want to sideload b/c its a work TV), are there any browsers available on the play store that would work for this?

I tried the Puffin browser and when I enter the URL, it doesn't work. I think it comes up with a refused or failed to connect error.

i am on the latest april 16 android tv home and core i got the new ui a few months ago although the next day it reverted any way of forcing the new ui

Managed to solve difficulty connecting to 5ghz wifi by changing my router frequency from 80mhz to 40mhz. Very strange that xiaomi in this day and age have problem this with wifi on their modern streaming devices.

Now this buggy device has a new wifi problem. Connection to internet is ok and stays connected while using the mitv stick during the day. The next day after standby overnight the mi tv stick internet is off. The mi tv stick reports wifi is connected but no internet. All my other devices are connected and internet is working. All the ip address and connection details on the mitv stick show the wifi is connected but it can't connect to the internet wwweb.

Every morning I now have to toggle off/on the mi tv stick wifi so it can reconnect to the internet.

Anyone else have this problem and is there a solution for this?

Totally annoyed by this mitv stick with so many network isssues.

Anyone else having an issue where after an episode of a television episode from plex, the chrome cast with googletv will crash and do a full restart? It causes my Visio TV to also go crazy and reboot 25% of the time as well.

Are there any tweaks you can make via ADB to Android TV that are useful?
