Edit: apparently you should change the region of the tv for it to work but it cause malfunctions ..?

Hi.

Unfortunately one of my kids decided to chew the original remote for my Formuleur Z7+ which I expect is the same as any other android box to am extent, but now the remove is non functional at all.

I've since invested in a 2.4ghz wifi remote control which is significantly better than the original - however.

My problem is once the box drops into standby mode it the new remote will not wake the box.

It is a massive inconvenience having to physically unplug the power lead and plug it back in again which reboots the box into its main UI and everything then works as expected.

Does anyone know of a solution for this? An app,setting somewhere that I assume allows wake-via-usb or something?

I've been using Fitzytv for a while now and it was pretty good so far as such things go but recently it's been putting channels I don't have in the Guide and I've been unable to log into my Locast account without it hanging on me right after I submit my email and password. I've tried resetting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling it, clearing the cache, etc and nothing has worked. I sent out a support email and haven't gotten back so much as a form letter telling me that the email has been received. I'm frustrated.

So given the current state of things, is there anything else that exists that does what Fitzytv does and allows you to log into your streaming services and places those into a guide and allows for recording shows to an online DVR? I currently only use Philo and Locast but additional services would be nice too, as would Roku support. Thanks.

Right now to watch my... ahem... totally legit and legal tv and movies, I transfer them onto a portable HD and plug them into a WD TV box that I got about 5-6 years ago. Not the best system, probably, but one I've grown accustomed to. Can I do the same with the Shield? The files are .mkv format.

How is Mi Box S handling files on plex? Specially h265 with aac audio. And DTS and DTS-HD audio through plex? I have the files on my computer and I have to play it on my 1080p tv on mi box s.It works well?

Over 2 years ago I bought a Leelbox 5.1.1. Since this was my first foray into Kodi, I didn't know what to expect or what to do or even how to set it up. With a little help, I got through it. Mostly, I enjoyed it especially after getting Real-Debrid.

Lately, it started to give me problems - shutting off in the middle of a movie, etc. I thought maybe it could be the android needed updating but discovered this is not possible. Long story short, last weekend it died and I'm stuck with Netflix - which is great - just not Kodi.

Should I get another Leelbox - it now has Android 9. What are your thoughts. Cost matters.

Ever since the newest Android TV version rolled out (Android P?), the nvidia shield will randomly show a message that says “wi-if turned off” and there is no way to turn WiFi back on without requiring a restart. We have two of these boxes and this has happened on both multiple times while using 5GHZ. Anyone else seeing this issue??

I have a Philips 55 inch 4K Android TV. My apartment requires that I register my device’s MAC address in order to connect to the internet. Anyways, when going into settings > about > status, I can see 1 MAC address. Typically, devices have a MAC address for wired AND wireless. Considering how the wired internet isn’t working for the TV, I’m assuming there’s a wired MAC address. The only question is, where?

So, lately the captions in the YouTube app on my Android TV turn on automatically at random, when I turn it off a few videos later it's on again for no reason. They're really annoying because I won't need English captions when I watch an English video. Do you guys have an idea what the reason for this is and how I can permanently disable them again. I'm experiencing this issue since a couple of days and haven't had any issues before that. I checked my YouTube settings on the TV but I can't an option to turn the captions off (I think it was there before but it seems like they removed it) I have captions turned off on my phone too so that shouldn't be the reason either.

I recently bought the G20 remote but the biggest issue is that holding down Volume+ button only increases the volume by 1 digit. It is supposed to keep increasing it until i let go. Any ideas? Same result for Volume - button

Edit: Fixed Disabling Button Remaper in Accesibility fixed it. I had disabled Volume button remapping in Button remapper but that didn't fix it. Disabling its Accesibility settings fixed it

- Netflix: Stuttering
- Emby: Stuttering
- Youtube: Smooth no Stuttering.

Ematic AGT419:

- Kodi: Works Smooth 4K HDR, 1080p Stuttering "sometimes?"
- Netflix: Stuttering
- Insert: I haven't tried
- Youtube: Smooth no Stuttering.

I don't know, what can i do? xD . I tried all setting in both Android TVs, nothing works.
