[Test] GeForce NOW Streaming on Mi Box

Saw ETA Prime's video yesterday ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUFD9Clb8KU ) and decided to test if it also works on Mi Box. It does work but has a few caveats.

  • I had to quit & restart NVIDIA Games app multiple times to populate the game list. But once the game list is loaded, it doesn't require reload on later launches.

  • Also got server connection error a few times before logging into my NVIDIA account. Just keep pressing "Retry".

  • Game can get stuck at GeForce Now launch screen. Going back and restarting the game usually solves the problem.

  • The last working version is v5.17.25543766. v5.18 and above won't start and throws out "This version of NVIDIA Games does not support your device".

With Wifi, video/audio quality & input lag are acceptable. Ethernet adapter may help but I don't have one for test.

I've had all these issues on my Nvidia shield as well last week , which suggests it's not mi box related

didn't try on my mibox but this above posted video works on my tab s4!

'GeForce NOW is not available on your account',after restart it worked fine and I was able to login and run game

I was using v5.17 without issues in my Mi Box S with Oreo but suddenly it started showing 'NVIDIA Games needs an update' and either if I close the dialog or press update it simply close the app and I cannot use it anymore. Tried to clean data + cache + reinstall and still this message.

Does anyone has the same issue lately? Any solution?

Edit: Seems like they updated the app. You should download latest 'Geforce Now' apk from ApkMirror
