This never used to happen, but recently my shield Android TV keeps giving me a volume warning where I have to acknowledge a popup box to turn the volume up. It’s not even very loud when this happens. Is there a way to disable this warning?

I would like to have a small remote at my office table so I can control the basic TV functions without having to bring over the remote from the couch.

I was thinking something small and simple with just the basic menu, volume and back buttons thats BT and preferably lasts a long time between having to charge or swap batteries.

Any suggestions?

I bought a TV box from local, and using Android AOSP felt stupid.

Like the apps downloaded from play-store wasn't designed with a TV interface; I think all the Android TV apps I sideloaded won't run, I'll have to use the remote like a mouse...ect

would an official, google certified Android TV box make a difference? Can I use the voice remote everywhere or just in the main interface? Can you sideload and run non-Android TV apps?

i hope you guys can help me. My new Mi Box S seems to be really cool, but i just can't get it to connect to my 2,4Ghz network.

It works fine on 5Ghz, and most features work, but i need it to be on the 2,4Ghz network, to be able to cast and work with my other google home units.

Is this a known issue or is there a quick fix for this?

I need it to play Netflix, Youtube and videos in VLC flawlessly and in 1080 HD (I hear some only play Netflix in 420P due to DRM restrictions). I have an extensive library of movies on external USB drives, in many different formats (My Xbox One with VLC plays them all). I want it to boot fast, be fast and responsive, easy to use, reliable and just work well on wifi with no buffering or stuttering. The ability to use an air mouse would be nice. This is for my girlfriend who is used to Apple TV so I need it to "just work." I am willing to do any necessary setup and installing apps. Budget - around 70 Canadian. Many thanks!!!!!

I'm trying to configure some emulators on my Mibox S but any emulator that is not retroarch is just impossible to use. Since the controller (Dualshock 4) also controls the Android TV interface like the normal remote, when I'm trying to configure or use in-game the "X" button the button acts like the main back button, pausing the emulator or any other thing.
I tried a xbox one controller and a D-input controller and both act the same

Is there a way to make the controller NOT controll the interface or control only when not in a app?

How to actually connect an already paired Xbox controller to Mi Box 3?

I had no problems pairing the controller over Bluetooth and could use it just fine. But I have no idea how to connect the controller again after turning the TV on the next time - the controller is there among the paired devices, but won't connect automatically either in normal searching mode or pairing mode. If I select it in the menu it just offers to change the name or unpair it, I don't think unpairing and pairing again is the solution here. Should be simple, what am I missing?

I just saw the option to add the VLC player as a source in the Live Channels app. Unfortunately, I get an error notification when I try to add the VLC player.

Does anybody know how to add VLC player? Or is this an upcoming feature that's not ready yet?

I'm planning to buy an android tv. And I belive that the prime video app is available in the android tv play store. Will I be able to install in the tv even if the app is not pre installed in the tv. For eg TCL brand tv has Netflix preinstalled but not prime. But it is an android tv. Will it allow to install prime video or throw some device not supported error?

Is there an Android Box that can play 64bit games? I see a lot of android box don't seem to be as powerful as today's modern flagship phones. I don't want to play 64bit games on my phone due to short battery life so I thought running Android Box would better since it's AC Powered. I used to play 5.1 sound from phone to Chromecast connected to my Marantz receiver (supports any kind of audio). I have now bought a Mi Box S TV and cannot get any 5.1 sound. The box is connected thru HDMI to the same old Chromecast input, so nothing has changed on Marantz. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I recently bought a van with a DVD player and screen for the rear passengers. There is an HDMI in and I would like to find an AndroidTV device that I could always leave in the car. I want to put my movie library onto a thumb drive and use VLC (or something similar) to allow the kids to watch movies. I don’t plan to have it connected to the internet. There is an AC outlet and USB power.

I know nothing about AndroidTV hardware and would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!

I'm experiencing some strange behaviors with my YT app recently.

When pausing a video and continuing, the sound keeps playing normally, but the picture, freezes for a second and kind of fast-forwards quickly (like double the speed) to catch up with the sound.

Also, sometimes, but quite often, YT seems not to stay idle in the background when browsing other apps in the meantime. When I want to come back to YT, it loads like it was opened for the first time, and shows the "logged in as ..." dialog.

I Have beelink Gt mini A and cannot play amazon video. I can login and watch trailers when to start a film, says it occurred a problem.

Hey, I was wondering if any of our friends over in India could extract the APK for the OxygenPlay app on the new OnePlus TV. I'm interested in playing around with it here in the US, but it is not available on the play store and I haven't seen any mirrors show up online yet.

I'm using a ugreen gigabit ethernet adapter with my mi box but I'm getting a maximum of 200 mbps down speed while I have gigabit at home. I've tested the cable and adapter with my laptop and am able to reach 800-900+. So my question is does the mi box have gigabit capability? If so what can I do to get more out of it? PS: what's the top you can get on wifi?
