I have an xiaomi mi android tv box.

I have a usb dongle mini keyboard connected to it. When i first plug in the dongle into the mi box the keyboard works fine.

But after it goes to sleep, if i stop using it for a few minutes. i can't get the keyboard to work unless i take the usb dongle out and reconnect it to the box.

I'm thinking the power supply to the usb dongle is somehow going to sleep and not turning back on again, unless i pull it out and plug it back in

Is there a way to fix this? I can't seem ti find an option in settings to leave it on permanently.

I went to go play an MKV video on my Philips OLED TV today as I have many many times, and today it told me the file isn’t supported.

What gives?

So I have a KD-55X8500C and 500Mbps internet plan but when connected via wifi, the speed just won't go over 30Mbps no matter what. 280 is the best I get. When I connect it via a Lan cable, the speed is even worse, for some reason it won't cross 100Mbps. I was advised to use a cat6 cable but even then the speed is below 100Mbps. Idk what to do.

I waited for a long time for AndroidTV to update to 10 so I could play PS4 remote play on my tv. Just thought I'd let everyone know you can do it using chiaki sideloaded to your shield or other Android tv. The touchpad clicks don't seem to work, and the app has to be launched from settings, but very playable! Couldn't find anyone saying it worked for a long time, so I was just gonna try to help someone else!

As per title, I am using nice pair of active speakers with subwoofer but they are lacking some fine tuning controls like treble or bass.

My MiBox is connected to it and sound is just pure shit. I have tried with many equalizers from the store but I am not satisfied how they work.

Just for the test I have plugged in my LG V40 and sound was incredible thanks to LG's HQ DAC and effects.

Is there a box with native good sound quality around for my active speakers setup?

I have been using Android TV for awhile now, was using a matricom g box for years before I got myself the Nvidia shield and I'm totally good with that now. But I'm looking for something for my cousin now so I don't know what to get but I know the shield is just unnecessary for him. He would only be using it for cyberflix and IPTV. Maybe Netflix but 4k streaming is not a big deal. What are some good boxes out now under 100$

As far as I can tell my TV doesn't have Bluetooth, it's Mi TV 4A which got upgraded to Android TV. BTController app connects but only the d-pad works on it, and the stadia JavaScript controller works inside phone but idk any way to connect that webpage to the TV.

If anyone knows a method please tell me. (Maybe a web app can be coded to work like this?)

I've noticed recently that there are a lot of videos in my YouTube history that i have not watched. I'm not even home and there is YouTube activity and the only active device showing in my Google account history is mi box s

My dad seems to have accidentally turned it on somehow and we can't find any option to disable it anywhere. Google only brought up results for the "YouTube TV" app, unless I just didn't search correctly.

There's no narrator on any of the other apps on the TV, so we figured it's some setting with YouTube. Help?

Hey, I use a VPN to watch my local NBA team on nba league pass and it works great on PC but it doesn't work on my Nvidia Shield. Does anyone know why? I use NordVPN and pick a different city then i make sure NBA app was closed and open it fresh but it still knows I'm in my home city. Any ideas how to get around this?

My Mi Box 3 can't seem to detect Hotspots from Windows 10 and Xiaomi support told me it's a compatibility issue!

I just want to know if it's the case on every device running Android TV. Can anyone with an Android TV device (box or android smart tv... ) confirm this?

Edit: after a lot of research, it turns out the box only support wifi connections broadcasting on channels 1 to 11, I tried it at a friend's house and it worked perfectly (Hotspot was on channel 10). Mine was broadcasting on channel 13.

I've completely uninstalled YouTube via ADB, it still showed up in my app list (within settings, not the app page).

I disabled it from the app list.

When I use my smart speaker or phone, it STILL launches YouTube. How is this possible?

All I want to do is launch Smart YouTube TV with my speaker / phone like I used to with Oreo 8.1.

Everything worked fine for the past few days and today i decided to watch a youtube video and once i was done i went to watch a show on hulu everything went fine until i went to the show i wanted to watch the shows logo came up then it went away and took me to the jetstream home screen i attempted this 2 more times and got the same results so i decided to hop on over to netflix needless to say i went to a show to watch and again it went to my home screen and just in case it may be worth noting before it boots me to my home screen it flashes the video i previously watched on youtube I tried reseting the YouTube app but that didnt seem to do anything....(cause i cant uninstall the app) i did also try uninstalling hulu but whatever is happening every app but YouTube keeps crashing so i dont know what to do now...
