The most common use-case is for sending notifications from a home-automation solution to your Android TV.
As shown on YouTube
Some example scenarios:
- Show a snapshot of your camera on your TV (motion trigger)
- Display a notification with the video of your camera when someone is at your door
- Send a text notification when your dryer/washingmachine is ready
Some example clients:
- Home Assistant
- Homey
- FHEM
- Curl (e.g. on Raspberry Pi)
No internet connection is necessary and no advertising is contained.
Without a client application or a home-automation solution which has an integration for PiPup this application will not be of any use.
I've looked for things like this in the past, for notifications from our baby cam, I'm excited to look at this and see if it'll work, thank you.
