Hi all, I have an Australian VodafoneTV box and have my aerial plugged in for the Australian Live TV. I do not stream my local Free To Air channels using the Live TV app for a few reasons.

Anyway, when I'm viewing ABC and SBS network stations, my Android TV volume control works. But when I view 7, 9 and 10 network channels, the volume control does not work.

Had anyone else encountered this? Is there a fix? I don't want to have to use my TV/amp remote every time I change channels.

I like to use the Sony stock video app to view 4k content as it purely uses the TV hardware (I believe).

However, some 4k videos or even 1080p and lower videos have issues whilst playback.

For example the video will pause after about 40mins on a 4k file a full reboot fixes this issue but annoying it's happening, playback is via USB.

Also on lower than 4k the audio will be crackling/pausing, no idea on how to fix this. As the TVs hardware should be able to play back 5.1 audio..some videos work fine some don't.

When I play all files in nova player it's fine z but it seems when the stock video app works it brings out the best picture and audio from the TV.

Any way to change settings for play back to avoid issues stated above within the stock video app that I can do z as I can't see or change any settings that I'm aware of?

I have a PC connected with 1Gbit Ethernet on my router and an Amazon Fire Stick TV 4K connected on my TV.

The PC is an old one, with an intel i7-3770 CPU, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro.

When I try to stream any HD movie, I have no issues.

But when I try to stream 4K movies, or even 1080 (but with large filesize) I get a huge lag.

While playing these movies, I don't see any huge load on my CPu neither on my Network.

I should mention that I am using Kodi 18 on my Amazon Fire Stick.

I'm looking for an Android TV box that I can watch all apps and also live TV with. I live in Ireland so get some channels via DVB-T and some via DVB-S.

Is there an Android TV box that can do that? Ideally with the tuners built in but I don't mind getting separate USB ones also if that will work. I'm thinking Nvidia Shield would be best bet but wanna make sure the tuners would work.

Looks like the consensus a couple years back is that the Shield is the top dog. Is this still true? Also, did they stop making them, or are they just sold out online?

So I got this TV model (55PFL5704_F7), from what I can research it's from 2018/2019 it has Android TV version 8 installed.

1. Can I upgrade to Android TV 10?

2. Can I find out what the specs are on this TV?

3. Is it possible to control this TV with Nest/Google Home?

4. Should I look for official ways to install apps like alexa, prime videos, etc or is it easy enough to sideload?

I have been trying to enable Chromecast's Ambient mode as a screensaver on a Philips 65PUS7354/12 without success 🙁

Ambient mode is ON when I look in the Google Home App but l cannot find anywhere to enable it on the TV. The funny thing is that when I try to install the official Backdrop app from the Play Store it says it's already installed.

Has anyone been successful at enabling Ambient mode, maybe on a similar Philips TV?

TLDR: My apps row is missing apps, and its only ONE row, where it used to be two. What can I do?
I have a 2015 Sony Bravia Android TV and I hadn't factory reset it in a long time. I had turned off the SonyShelf and tuned the recommendations, but other than that, hadn't sideloaded or done anything special.

I was super annoyed that 'Hey google, turn off the tv" didn't work (like it does on ALL my other non-Android TV TVs) and had read posts on here that involved doing a factory reset among some other steps. Ultimately, that functionality still didn't work, but now I can't get my TV back to the state it was once in.

I used to have two app rows, and that row contained all my apps. Now its only showing some weird subset of apps, and is only one row. Going to settings > home screen> app row doesn't give me an option to add apps or add a row. Anyone experienced this? Solution to fix?

(FWIW, I fixed the "hey google turn off the tv" by plugging in a Chromecast ultra and telling it to turn that off... which is lame, but works)

I posted an early positive review on my TivoStream 4k the other day but have run into a couple of issues so if anyone reading this has any advice let me know. I always have used AppleTV, Roku etc. Streaming boxes that are not set up though Android TV.

Thought I would try this new Tivo device siince I have always been a bif Tivo fan even though I understand the Tivo platform up until this new device was not the same concept.

Anyway I have notice a couple of weird things the last day or two. On one of my Sony TV sets we were watching YTTV though our Apple TV (which is hooked up through our Marantz AV receiver) and out of nowhere the TV set shut off (but not the AV receiver even though they normally shut down together through our ARC system). The werid thing is we did not do anything with any remote controls or touch anything it just turned off the TV set for not apparent reason. Again we were watching through AppleTV not Tivo but it was connected. I had gone into the Tivo menu and set it so the TV would not turn the screen saver on or put the unit to sleep after any particular period of time because I had noticed when I have the screen saver set to go on after 2 hours of inacivity the TV was turning itself on to show the screen saver.

This had only started since I hooked up the Tivo Stream. I decided to disconnect the Tivo unit for now and since then no problems.

In my other room with the second Tivo Stream unit I bought again out of nowhere weird stuff. All of a suddent my TV is not recognizing any of my equipment through the ARC setup and would not control sound to the AV receiver (this one is a Denon) and also would not let me get to certain inputs on the AV receiver. Again this had never happened before so after constantly reboothing the TV set and AV receiver and getting them to work properly I decided to disconnect the Tivo unit and again not problems since. I realize this is some kind of communication issue but not sure if there is any way to fix it.

I am pretty good with this stuff but not as knowledgeable about Android TV based streaming devices as many other people might be and any issues or things to do to correct these types of issues. If I can't resolve it I just won't use the Tivo units but they have pretty good quality so if I can fix these issue I would like to.

If anyone our there has any suggestions I am open to trying them out.

I enable Bluetooth on the Speaker, on the Shield TV I can see the Group Speaker, but it does not enable to pair.

I picked up the Hisense H8F not too long ago and found an SNES emulator pretty quickly, but I haven't spent too much time trying to figure it out yet. Can I connect a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller directly to my TV, or is there some other controller you need for that kind of stuff?

So from what I've read, these are BT plus IR remotes. So is it possible to pair them to an Android TV box? HDMI-CEC not an option.

do we have any hidden adb ports from which we can connect to?
