Few questions about my new Philips TV built in Android TV

by dfam

So I got this TV model (55PFL5704_F7), from what I can research it's from 2018/2019 it has Android TV version 8 installed.

  1. Can I upgrade to Android TV 10?

  2. Can I find out what the specs are on this TV?

  3. Is it possible to control this TV with Nest/Google Home?

  4. Should I look for official ways to install apps like alexa, prime videos, etc or is it easy enough to sideload?

It's been a few years since I've had an Android, I'd like to get into thee ecosystem again but it's seeming super restrictive.

You can upgrade it to whatever version the manufacturer provides, so if they release a new update it should be to Android 9 and not 10, go to settings and check if there is a new update available.

Note: Alexa is not officialy available in all Android TV sets, but Prime Video should be available in the majority of them, if you already looked for it in the Play Store with no results then you can sideload it using alternative stores like Aptoide TV.
