Does anyone know if there are any good apps available that help you easily switch your DNS settings?

I'd like to make it super easy for my parents to toggle a smart DNS service on and off, without having to manually enter the addresses in the settings menu every time.

Everything I've found so far is just for phones, not Android TV.

Can someone tell me how to enable profiles on the Prime Video app?

I currently sideload the app to a Mi Box 3, (since it is not available on the store to my device). I have seen Mi Stick review videos with profiles option on the Prime Video app.

Current version available on Aptoid is "5.2.45-googleplay-armv7a". Is there a different version for Mi Stick devices? Other Android TV devices that support Prime have profiles or not?

I found a remote that supposed to work with the 850f, on Amazon should I expect it to work with my 850E? It's the original remote, not a 12$ rip-off

While we really enjoy our Chromecasts we want to move back to a more classic tv experience with the option to use a remote. We have two few month old 4K TVs, but one of them is webOS and one is a rather slow Android TV one. I want to unify these experiences for the whole family with two NVidia Shield TVs as that would fit our needs perfectly.
However I heard that Google is about to release a Chromecast successor with Android TV and just wanted to ask for your honest opinion about whether we should wait for that device or go with two Shield TVs. I'm afraid that Google is going to equip the new device with features that third party devices like the the Shield won't get. What do you think?

I bought a Philips 55pus7304 recently, it's a decent TV for the price and comes with Android TV, the only problem is that sometime just grind to an halt, with sluggish apps, the interface lags and streaming it's not consistent.

The problems seems related to the 2gb of ram, one solution I found useful it's to disable Google Chromecast in the system apps and disable Google assistant, I have a Chromecast Ultra and a Google mini to do the same job and the TV finally has started to behave properly.

I recently brought the shield TV pro and side loaded some apps including an apk Updater. So the Updater finds the new versions when theres is one but fails to download and install. Does anyone have a solution or alternative way to keep side loaded apps updated for Android tv?

I can watch Funimation content from my country using a VPN. But I can't install the app on my NVIDIA Shield TV because it's region restricted. If I enable a VPN on the Shield TV, disable Location, clear Google Play Store data and cache and force restart the app, it will still only show me apps that are available in my country. Is there another way to achieve this?

I have an issue with my Sony smart TV with Android. I'm having issues connecting to my wifi. While debugging I noticed that the time of the device is locked to the 21st of April. My experience is that incorrect date / times on a device can lead to weird issues, maybe even this issue with the wifi.

The problem is that i'm unable to change the date on the device. When I go to: "Device preferences > date & time > automatic date & time" I see the options "use broadcast time". This option is greyed out so I'm unable to change it. I'm wondering why and what "broadcast time" is supposed to mean. I have no cable TV so i'm unsure what this time is based on.

My Sony Bravia has a built in chromecast and runs android tv. Is there anyway to just switch to the built in chromecast and more or less pretend android tv doesn't exist?

Hi, just bought a mi box s and i'm facing this problem: After i wake the box, it sleeps by itself after a few seconds and just acts normal after the second wake. Does anyone know the solution for this problem? Searched around and didn't find anyone facing the same problem, just the box not being able to wake after going to sleep, so any help would be awesome.

Hello! I got this new (for me) tv but I don't like the remote at all.

I did not really understand how it works... I paired via BT an old fire stick remote and works pretty well, but I cannot control the volume or change the channels when I am on the "standard" tv.

I do need a remote with IR to change the channels?
