It has a mute button, I hope it has volume buttons
I believe the original remote pictures from an FCC leak showed the power and Vol up/down rocker on the side of the remote, similar to roku remotes.
Aside from that I agree the layout of the remote is a bit weird. I have a shield pro 2019 and I still can't get used to just two rows of buttons. The play pause really should be in the center with rewind and fast-forward to the left and right.
If there's gonna be no volume buttons, then what a fail. But if there is, the position will be really weird..
Also no power button. ofcourse it could be turned off by long pressing the back button though.
Thoughts?
Resembles Nexus Player Remote. Left 3 buttons are same. That did not have Volume button as well.
Hopefully it will just have hdmi-cec and I can just control it with my tv's remote like I do with my Shield tv
Android TV remotes have always been pretty crappy. The tivo one is about the best.
I'm pretty sure there was another image of the remote that shared the volume buttons.
Why not have a volume rocker?

There will be a Netflix button, guaranteed. That’s why they’re not showing the bottom part of the remote.
