I've been having consistent problems with my Mibox, and I was planning to upgrade to the nVidida Shield TV, but it is expensive.

Just saw Google releases the new chrome cast with a remote and the new Google TV.

Before I go and buy this, is it a good upgrade to the mibox? Only thing it lacks is the ethernet port, but I can probably live without it. I have WiFi issues depute high speeds in my phone, I think it'd just the mibox.

i am a new user. i have a chromebook and installed the Nova video app. i have movies and series on a harddisc. series are added automaticly to the library, but movies aren´t. i have the movies in a folder and series in a defferent folder. is there a solution for this problem?

It's black friday and Jbl Link Bar is now on sale for only 150€ I was wondering if it's worth bying despite all the negative reviews?

I had a change to listen Jbl Bar 2.0 in store which is also 100€ on sale and I think it sounded excellent for my needs and budget, so I'm curious weather Jbl Link Bar sounds as good (without the added dolby digital feature that Bar 2.0 has) or even better considering it's normal price range at +300€

My living room is quite small also I live in apartment block so the soundbar doesn't have to be overly loud. I would be using the Android tv and Chromecast features daily as they would be replacing my current chromecast.

I used to have a Chromecast ultra plugged into my TV and I could say play music on my dining room TV and it would turn on the TV and switch inputs automatically.

I recently replaced it with a Google TV with Chromecast. Now when I request music via Google home, it turns on the TV but doesn't switch the input which is quite frustrating.

Any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to fix?

I recently bought a new Phillips 43PUS8505 TV. Everything on it seems to work perfectly EXCEPT Freeview Play, and all the apps linked to that, Iplayer, ITV, 4OD etc.

I don't get an error message when I open them up, just a slight buffer and then black screen. Nothing after that. All the other apps work perfectly so it must have something to do with Freeview Play.

I do have an aerial connected, but I get fairly weak signal in my area, so not all channels are found. But I have 49 or so channels. I'd heard that having a functional aerial can be the cause of this issue, but I'm not even getting an error code that I could check, just the black screen.

Anyone else experienced this or managed to fix it?

TV is on version: TMP191E_R.101.001.123.008

I believe this is the most recent version of the software.

wanted to put it out there .. did anyone try the new Chromecast with google tv's Remote with any android tv which has a built-in Chromecast? like Bravias... we know it's pointless. but wanted to ask as it will be cool to 'point' something at a tv which is already an Android TV or say Google TV.. so confusing!

I recently switched my entire household over to YouTube TV. My Grandmother is 95 y/o and has trouble using technology. I'd like to simplify the entire process for watching YouTube TV so she can enjoy watching her shows without getting confused. I'd like live channels to instantly begin playing upon powering on the TV. Also, I want to reconfigure two buttons on the controller for navigating up/down through channels. Does anyone have suggestions for how I might be able to do this?

I've tried every updated codec I can find and none are recognized by my TV. It continues to use an ARMv7 NEON codec (v1.25, newest version is 1.32, I believe), despite my TV using an ARMv8 chip, and even after trying all the newest NEON codecs as well as an AIO download, it still won't update. I'm getting horrible choppy audio on any file using EAC3. Does anyone know how to fix this, short of down-converting the EAC3 to something more basic? The app is able to see the .zip files with the codec packages, but it won't load any of them.

I've emailed MX Player support but haven't heard back. TV is a Sony 930E running Android 8.0.

I have a 150Mbps internet connection, and am streaming Netflix with the app on my Sony Bravia TV.

I noticed the download speed of a 4K show (e.g. When They See Us), is capped at 15.25Mbps. As a result, the sound is very choppy, to the point where it's unwatchable. I tested my connection within the Netflix app, and it said 130Mbps. Streaming 1080p shows have no problem.

Has anyone experienced this? Is this my connection, or the app on the TV itself?

My end result is getting a TV or connected device that allows me to use Steamlink.

I have come to the conclusion that I want to get an Android TV, but I am not sure what is good. I have decided against the Kogan Smart TV based on reviews.

My budget is around $400, but if it's from Amazon / JB Hi-Fi I have the option to cash out a gift card from my workplace for an additional $200 and can go up by that amount. The TV unit that it would be on is 36.5", so the TV would preferably be able to fit on there, around 36-40" screen size. Also happy to consider a media device like NVIDIA shield if anyone knows any good Black Friday deals!

I will probably connect this TV via ethernet cable to my modem to decrease lag? Bit of a noob on this stuff.

I am using Smarttubenext on Android TV and on rooted phone YT Vanced. But I am having sometimes short adds. Is any way to remove them without YT premium? I have access to the router if I need to block something, but will not make pihole or another setup.

So I have a usb otg cable and the android tv box sees the usb storage and asks to format it. When I format to external storage it formats and says it is ejected. I never am able to mount the device. When I format for internal storage it formats the drive then says it is unsupported. Is there no way to actually use usb storage drives for this device? I have tried both an otg cable and otg hub as well as a 3amp 5v power supply.

I've been searching the Black Friday deals for a worthy price/performance replacement for my 55" LeEco Super 4 tv. None of the big tv deals have as good or better rating on ratings.com.

Hello, I am facing some problems with the screen frequency. I manually select 1080p 50Hz since most of the contents I watch require this, but everytime I turn off and on using the power button (binded to CEC) the resolution is back on 1080p 60Hz.

This is not happening if I reboot the chromecast , in that case my Hisense TV still detects the 50Hz.

I have checked on my Hisense TV some settings about it, but there isn't anything related to the frequency.

I have tried even unplugging the Nintendo Switch, but the problem persists.

Someone else is facing the same problem?
