Jbl Link Bar worth buying?

by PyKo00

It's black friday and Jbl Link Bar is now on sale for only 150€ I was wondering if it's worth bying despite all the negative reviews?

I had a change to listen Jbl Bar 2.0 in store which is also 100€ on sale and I think it sounded excellent for my needs and budget, so I'm curious weather Jbl Link Bar sounds as good (without the added dolby digital feature that Bar 2.0 has) or even better considering it's normal price range at +300€

My living room is quite small also I live in apartment block so the soundbar doesn't have to be overly loud. I would be using the Android tv and Chromecast features daily as they would be replacing my current chromecast.

From an Android TV perspective...

A new 2020 Chromecast GoogleTV dongle would be both noticeably faster and get better ongoing Firmware support from Google themselves vs using a 2015 era Mi Box equivalent chipset for running Android TV in a JBL Soundbar.

It think it is worth now because it received an updated like a month and a half ago which fixed some issues, you can ask u/techwithbrett for more info.

I have one. I'm on nz and it works great. Voice assistance is very good I've got google home running my house. I'm even thinking about getting the sub

It sounds better than anything under $600. Updates make it equivalent to current chromecast..with 3 hdmi inputs plus auxiliary optical And BT.
