Hi,
I am in Canada and have been using Peacock with a VPN (ExpressVPN) without issue for quite a while on a 2019 full updated and stock Nvidia Shield. Late last year there was an update to the app that gave me the following error when I opened it the next time ;
Peacock is unavailable on this device . Please visit Peacocktv.com for a list of supported devices
I went to APK mirror and download a fresh install of the latest version for android tv 2.1.1 and installed it fine. As soon as I go to start it I get the exact same error message. I tried reinstalling the original version I had and it starts but advises that there is an update and wont let me do anything until I update. As soon as I click update it takes me to the play store with the option to open or uninstall and a notice below saying this app is no longer compatible with your device, please contact the developers for more information. The weird thing is because I am in Canada, PeacockTV is not in my playstore so I am not sure how its taking me to the app in there?
Does anyone have a link for the correct version for the Nvidia Shield that will work in Canada or can suggest anything else that I might have missed. Any and all help is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Maybe every supported stick would integrate with it? If you know any solution that would work, please comment it. I’ve found this app. There’s quite a long list in the description, so wondered whether any of you have purchased one of these models and got it to work (if you did, please mention device, and more importantly Android version). I’m super into making it work, and would even fork an app if needed. Anyway, I’ll keep this post updated.
It’d be best if it worked on the new Chromecast with Google TV, but I’m very open to other streamers as well (and most importantly, that it’d work via the Google Live Channels app, dependent of internet connection). I’m not looking for a server solution or something like IPTV etc.
Thanks in advance 😊
