Streaming services uk-cordcutting

by Stevie1978

Ive got rid of the TV licence. I'm looking for a complete list of legal streaming services available in the UK.
Tried Acorn and Britbox. Subscribing to Amazon, Netflix and Disney+. Any others available???

Even if I can sign up to one via VPN and use?

As a heads up, if you watch anything at time of broadcast, even if it is through nowtv or one of the Amazon add-ons, you need the TV licence. Somehow this also applies if you watch anything at time of broadcast from overseas too, which is a total con if you ask me. Anything catch-up or on demand (except iPlayer) is fine without a TV licence

Heads up: You're not allowed to watch live sports on Amazon Prime without a license.

But you will be able to use catch-up and on demand using: ITV Hub, All4, My5, Britbox, Netflix, NowTV and Amazon.

But you'll lose out on the superb BBC content. And, for me ateast, watching linear TV is a much nicer experience than watching solely On demand. And I think it's a shame that people seem to be moving away from it.

I have a Nvidia shield TV and I'm in the UK, I use BBC iPlayer, ITVHub, All4, My5, Netflix, Discovery+ & Disney+. Also have Amazon prime but I dont use it

Shield is the way to go

Edit: you will still need a TV license
