Installing the original launcher has been unsuccesful for me. The only version that worked had the channels feature broken so i could use the apps section.

I disabled YT and YT music on my TV, installed STN instead. However, if I want to cast video from my mobile default YT app starts. If I connect mobile with code from STN I have 2 devices to cast - TV name and SmartTubeNext_tv name. Yesterday I casted to the STN, but today getting endless loading on my mobile app, no vide is casted.

Is any way to fully disable YT app and use only STN also for casting?

As the title says, external HDD and SSD however working fine, as long as it is not formatted as internal storage for Mibox S. Anyone also faced this issue? Any trick to make the USB drive recognizable by the box? I have tried unplug and replug but no luck. Hope Xiaomi fix this issue ASAP because I have put my games and apps data including Kodi in my USB drive. Now I cannot access them.

I purchased a TiVo stream 4K receiver from Walmart a few months back and it runs a android TV firmware. and these past weeks I’ve been watching YouTube on it and all the sudden the device crashes and my TV goes blank and it shows the boot screen and i have no idea what’s causing this but it seems its only on apps like YouTube can someone please help me? I’ve tried updating but nothing worked.

EDIT: I called tivo support they made me factory reset the issues have been fixed so far

So I recently got the Sony X900H, I was really excited about the google assistant part of it.

but whenever I’m trying to use it to play a show, (e.g. I tell it to play Avengers Endgame), it would open Hulu with the movie’s page but without the possibility to play it, instead of playing it from disney plus. For some other shows that are on both netflix AND hulu, it would tell me it can’t play it because the show is only available on sling and I dont have that installed.

What’s the issue here ? and what could be a possible fix ?

i need a CHEAP tv box for game streaming moonlight,gfn etc.. i have the mi box s and its very laggy, i dont want to buy the nvidia shield because its very expensive, any recomendations?

In my country the only available options are: (prices convereted to $)

- Mi Box S 70$
- Mi Stick 50$
- Chromecast w/ Google TV 100$
- Random Chinese boxes 30-50 $

I believe a mi stick would be too underpowered for my taste since i like to tinker around with apps .
Chromecast would be the best option but its too expensive here and ordering online would be even more expensive.
Chinese boxes are not worth it

All its left is mi box s but its from 2018? How long do you think it will last until its not supported anymore?
Or should i just wait for chromecast price to drop?

Did some tested a BT headset on the MI Stick

It connects, but the sound is terrible with cracks and interruptions; tested 3 different ones

Curious is anyone else has had this problem. Signed up for Showtime and installed the app. Tried to watch a show and the 30 second ad for other programming plays but goes back to the Home Screen instead of playing the show. Tried it on multiple shows/movies. CS just said “that’s odd” and offered no further assistance. This is on the Chromecast with Goggle TV.

And it's an amazing device. Although is there a way I can use both a USB drive and a wireless keyboard plug? Do USB hubs work on this device?

I’ve deleted cache etc, delete updates. Nothing works, only thing left I have is to do a factory reset on my tv although I rather not as all other streaming apps work and don’t want to go through the whole setup again. Hoping someone here has better ideas.

Hello, I have Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 and I really like it but there's a problem.

The color of the Nvidia looks washed out / dull compared to my Samsung Q8fn TV and yes I have enabled Match content color space.

I want to switch from Nvidia to Chromecast with Google TV can anyone who has it tell me if the colors looks better on Chromecast or it's the same?

I'm looking for an Android solution that I can use in my car for offline netflix, D+ and prime playback. I bought I cheap tv box off Amazon but that was garbage.

I can't seem to find a decent Android TV box with a hard drive that will allow me to download content from the streaming services. My most recent idea is to get a tablet or phone that will be easily "docked".

For context this is so my kids can watch Netflix on our cars backseat screen.

Anyone know if a good solution?

I posted this earlier but asking bout Smart YouTube TV and was told to try SmartYoutube Next. Did that, I still can't use Smart Youtube TV or Next without signing in.

I can use Youtube on my other devices (and vanced as well) without issues. Just not SmartYoutube TV / NEXT on my android TV or Firestick. Any ideas?

I'm running the APK of the Google TV Launcher from October on my Nvidia shield, I've noticed theres been many updates since, and I've tried most of the latest ones and they don't work, it just hangs on the home screen, as if its loading content, but never does.

Has anyone got any of the newer versions working?

I like Firefox, that works well but unable to get bookmarks in it, or share from my iPhone.

I tried Puffin Browser, but some kind of unstable.
