Curious is anyone else has had this problem. Signed up for Showtime and installed the app. Tried to watch a show and the 30 second ad for other programming plays but goes back to the Home Screen instead of playing the show. Tried it on multiple shows/movies. CS just said “that’s odd” and offered no further assistance. This is on the Chromecast with Goggle TV.
What I do and if you're able to, link your Showtime account to Amazon Prime Video and it's works just fine. I haven't had any problems.
Very similar problem on my ONN TV ...which is an Android TV.
I can watch a movie, I can watch the ads, even start a series on Showtime, but as soon as the actual show starts the screen just shows the Showtime logo ... I can hear the audio while the show plays, but only see the Showtime logo.
Is there a fix for Android TV?
Their interface is terrible, essentially the same for 5 years ish now (on all platforms). Can you watch the video on you phone/tablet you are trying to cast from?
