I love this system - very intuitive and handy. There seems to be an issue though using Google Home devices to control my TV (as in, saying "Ok Google" instead of using the remote's voice button). I can have it turn the TV on and off, and pause shows in any of the apps. But when I say "Play Blacklist on Netflix" or any other show, it doesn't respond. The same command works for the handheld remote voice control though. I have multiple Netflix profiles (mom, dad, kids) which I thought might be the reason, but it works fine with the remote's voice control, so maybe not. Thoughts?

I just tried to use adb pull to grab the Kodi log file off my TV (it's stuck on "waiting for external storage") only to find that /sdcard is now inaccessible (hence Kodi error, presumably).

I recently added a USB stick and configured it as internal storage, but after finding out only 2 apps could actually be moved to it I reformatted it as external storage and removed it. I'm guessing ever since then this has been broken.

When I try to install a new app, the TV says I'm out of space (actually almost 6GB free). Using adb shell I cannot browse /sdcard, /data, etc.

An output of df -H shows that nothing is mounted to /sdcard! (I know it used to be on there because of a previously run command.)

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix? Trying to avoid a factory reset but it's probably the easiest (albeit frustrating) way.

Am I supposed to be getting ads when I chrome cast from a device logged into a YouTube account without premium, to androidTV that’s logged into YouTube premium? Because I have been and it’s been annoying

My parents have 2 smart tv's. One in the living room, on in their bedroom upstairs. Occasionally, they will both turn themselves on at the same time.

I'm unsure what is causing it. I'd say a random signal from a device, but its both tv's at the same time every time it happens. No one has touched a remote when this happens, my mom was in the kitchen one time.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to add 5ghz wifi adaptor to an Android TV which only has 2.4ghz wifi ? Like an external wifi adaptor?

Okay, hear me out. I have some 4K movies on my laptop. For some reason, casting them almost never works smoothly, even though it should work fine since my router can handle speeds up to 500Mbit/s or even more. They don't fit on a FAT32 USB drive. Android TV doesn't support NTFS and the Paragon's plugin that makes the TV support NTFS doesn't work either, I can't use subtitles or choose an audio channel with it.

Is there an option I'm missing here? It's 2021, should it really be so hard to watch a 4K movie on a 4K TV?

On my new chromecast, the remote microphone is not working. Everything else works perfectly fine, but the microphone just stopped working. I had just got it yesterday, and it worked perfectly fine then. What should I do?

I have a 50" 4k TCL Android TV 50S434

I had purchased the CCGTV before I bought the tv. I've been fine with the default UI, appears to be 9 (whereas the CCGTV is on 10), but I would like to get some use out of the CCGTV instead of it sitting in a drawer.

I'm having issues with the remote. I figured this would be a flawless process since they have the same buttons and both run Android TV but the volume buttons don't work, nor does the input button. You can kind of bypass the volume by having it control the cc volume instead, which is fine. But I do also have a Nintendo switch plugged in. I would, ideally, like to only use the cc remote.

I feel like maybe I'm missing something. I've dug through the settings. I have both together in my "home" with a Google nest hub display, as well as 3 nest cameras. I can ask the assistant to switch inputs and that works.

But then that leads to my other issue... sleep timer? I use the sleep timer every night. I'm nowhere near my data cap but we do have data caps here and I don't want stuff streaming all night. When I ask the assistant to set a sleep timer, she seems like she wants to but doesn't actually do it.

Maybe I'm missing something? Maybe I'm not? Maybe using the CCGTV on top of Android TV is unnecessary and I'm making it more complicated for no reason. Maybe this particular tv is just a bad match for the CCGTV?

I'm also considering buying the $99 Google Nest Audio to pair with the tv / nest hub. I'm wondering if the CCGTV will further complicate things or if it'll work fine?

I sideloaded Xbox Game Pass to my shield. Worked for the most part. But sometimes had this weird issue of not showing Recently played and that I cannot start an game.

It shows me as logged in .. but Playbutton is greyed out for every game . Normally a few restarts sorted that out but now it doesn't work anymore. Do any of you guys experience the same thing. What are your fixes?

Every time when I power on my TCL TV, the Google Assistant is always not ready when I press the assistant button for the first time. This happens even when quick start is selected. Anyone has any idea how to make it available the moment TV is on?

So purchased a t95 and it's going back to amazon. So I'm looking for something that runs android tv and can also handle some emulators. Nothing to hardcore just mainly the n64 emu..

So every time I search for a film or series on Google TV, it starts reading this Wikipedia article on the main result. I find the voice and the information to be quite annoying and honestly quite loud, but I haven't been able to find a setting to turn this off. Does anyone know if (and if yes: how) to turn this feature off?

I've searched everywhere and watched a million tutorials that all lead me to a setting that doesn't seem to exist in this operating system. I have an LG Soundbar using an optical cable directly into my TV, but the sound is behind by about .5 seconds and it's driving me crazy. There doesn't appear to be any specific setting for sound and I can't get it to work. Does anyone have any quick fixes? If not, can you make a recommendation on what I can buy to get it to work? This particular Soundbar does not have an HDMI connection, it has optical and bluetooth, but the Bluetooth is also delayed.

I have installed a speaker set up for my mitv. Volume is fine in youtube but too low in netflix. Any help? Tried volume booster goodev, works outside netflix idk why.

What program can I use to edit the files on a Chromecast GTV with my PC?

The android tv/chromecast google tv app doesn't have the "continue watching" added to their app to allow you to resume a show from the chromecast home screen.

To make matters worse, the only way to continue a show is to remember the series where you left off on, and then continue watching.

Every other app out there has a "continued watching " section
