Testing audio delay after the new system update on the MI TV Stick

by aabyssx

I was very unsatisfied with the MI TV Stick's audio delay (I made a post about it a couple of months ago). I had high hopes that a system update will fix it. After checking out the new update I was immediately let down. I even recorded a video about the delay that I only have with the Mi TV Stick (and no other devices).

I recorded and slowed down a test video played with the Youtube app. It seems that there is a 200-250ms audio delay which is unacceptable. Can others verify this, too, and maybe let the developers know about it?

Here is my video:

Edit:

In the meantime a friend tested another Android TV device with his LG CX OLED and it has audio delay, too. Might be something general.

Either I don't have the problem on my MI TV stick or I'm not noticing it

No problem, just did a test

It is most noticable with lip sync.

I am afraid it is not fine, just some people don't recognize it. I'll add a friend's test result from a Chromecast with Google TV. It had delay, too.

Same here with Mi Box S 4k model. I sent many emails to Xiaomi about the issue and they just keept repeating "pls take a bug report and send us" nothing more. After i decided that Xiaomi support is useless, i stopped using it. Now i have seen the update and gave it a chance. HerE iS xiAoMi mAGic! Nothing changed! Problem is still there. This devices main goal is PLAYING NETFLIX VIDEOS and it can't do it properly. I am very unsatisfied. Xiaomi and me DONE. Never buy any product, and this is not the first problem i had.
