I am looking for an "improvement" to my TV :)

I would like to do the following actions:

• Watching Series via Browser with an active Adblocker
• Streaming via PC my games to TV (Box), to play it
• Basic Apps like Plex, Netflix, Disney+...
• Ability to connect Gaming Controller

Currently I am thinking between:

• Mi Box
• Nvidia Shield Pro (2019)
• Xbox Series X

Price doesn't matter, so yeah :)

I'm having trouble finding an app that will do a slideshow of both photos and video clips. Chromecast ambient is really nice but skips all the video clips. One of the better aspects of Chromecast Ambient mode is the ability to display shared albums enabling us to set up a screen for a tech impaired family member and display new photos for them without any management on their part. It just really sucks that there's no video option. I can think of a lot more features to add but this is my main issue for now.

Please... please share any and all slideshow apps that will do this. The more customization features the better. Hopefully with the ability to sync with Google Photos , Apple, Synology etc.

I have been using AOSTV app for a while now. Use it to get free IPTV. Noticed this morning the app was gone from my app list. I tried to reinstall it but I received an error message saying error potential malware. I don’t have any antivirus installed or anything. That’s why I thought it was my androidtv disabling the app. Most probably due to piracy concerns. Anyone experience something similar. Can’t re enable the app.

Edit: someone replied to me in another thread with the answer. Have to disable app scanning in android TV: settings, device preferences, security&restrictions, disable verify apps. Also don’t use google drive to side load piracy apks as google blocks from downloading from there as well.

What are the best apps/launchers to use on my nvidia shield that I’ll be installing an air bnb/vacation rental that will make it easy for guest to operate and watch tv

I tried to look at YouTube videos couldn't find a guide, and also tried the normal way to download cancer but that didn't work to. Does anyone know how to download YouTube vanced (or any good app like it) on Android TV?

Hi, I have a problem lately with youtube crashing constantly on a Sony Bravia model XG9005 running the latest android update. I've tried reinstalling the app, switching Internet connection, rebooting TV from power socket, but with no luck unfortunately. Any idea how to fix this issue?

Need a way to spoof the android tv so I can watch YouTube tv. Any app for this like on phones?

I owned an Android TV from Sharp brand. This TV was made in 2018 and the last update that I got was on December 2018. Can I be able to play heavy games on it? And another doubt, does the latest Android TV'S can run heavy games?

Just checked my dynalink android tv and there was an update. I installed the update and when it restated the language seemed to have changed to chinese. I changed it back to english but the problem is every time I restart it goes back to chinese. I can change it back but this dosen't seem like the correct thing it should be doing. I hope this update wasn't sen tout by mistake. Anyone else get this update?

My mibox is switching between the old UI and the new one, this happens randomly with no apparent reasson, sometime when i power it on, its the new one, after a while (when it's still on) it switches back to the old one.

I really don't know what i could do about it, it's pretty irritating to always be suprised wich ui it is now haha

Can someone relate or even know a fix for this?

I'm wondering if it's possible to create a restricted profile on the Xiaomi Mi TV 4S. I know it's possible on the MiBox 4K (Settings -> Device Preferences -> Security & Restrictions) and I presume it's the same on the Mi TV since it's running Android TV, but could anyone confirm before I purchase? I'm buying online so can't test it out beforehand! Thanks!

I have a Sony tv, and hooked up an old Bose lifestyle system with no hdmi. If I’m watching sports, Netflix, or Amazon, the stereo switches to 5.1. If i try to watch something something on Hulu, HBO or Disney+ that says it supports it, it stays at 2.0. Anyone have any issues with this?
