I recently bought a TCL P725 Android TV as my previous Samsung bit the dust. We decided to get a cheaper TCL as an inbetween TV for the time being.

One feature I loved on the Samsung unit was the ability to set a time and channel for the TV to automatically turn on as opposed to using a phone alarm.

I have tinkered with the menus and settings and I can only find the sleep timer.

Can anyone help in case I am missing the option, or if there is any workaround that is known?

Hello, I've crappy TVBox (H96 Max+ RK3328, 4GB RAM, 64GB Storage) It has Android 9 installed on it but I want to install AndroidTV is it possible, if yes where can I find the correct ROM for it? If it's not possible is there a way to install Leanback Launcher into this device (Since it has a phone/tablet version of android Leanback is not supported) and install TV versions of the Apps?

Is it possible to block adult content on an Android TV? I know it's not possible on some TV's because they have TIZEN as the operating system. But on an android TV since Android is customizeable, it should be possible to install an app that blocks those sites or any site for that matter, or am I wrong?

I am contemplating getting one. And if it indeed it is possible, which series are we speaking of?

Anyone else experiencing this? I bought a second remote thinking that maybe the first one broke. Got the new one today. Paired it. It said an update was available. I didnt update it, and set up the IR buttons. All the buttons worked first try. Now none of them do, and the firmware says its up to date.

I checked with my camera and sure enough the IR blaster does nothing with the volume buttons. The power button just shoots a straight beam with no flashes at all so clearly its not a connection issue.

So i thought I would check the old remote. Same exact thing.

If anyone else is experiencing this or has a fix I sure would like to hear it.

Edit: just got home from work. My wife tried to use the tv and now the only working buttons on either remote are the voice buttons. Back, home, netflix, etc... None of them work. I dont know what is going on but its driving me crazy.

if i start a video there is a loading animation for a few seconds, but then my tv just reboots. i'm on version 12.59 now, but it started some weeks ago. before everything worked fine. i have an old bravia tv from 2015 with android 7, which is always short of ram and did similar things before, when stressed too much. so maybe the app is more demanding now? did anyone experience the same?

I have connected a Microsoft wireless USB keyboard to my CCwGTV and it works fine, except I can't find any option in the system settings to change the keyboard language to Swedish for example. It's stuck on English.

At home I have both an Amazon fire TV cube and and Nvidia shield TV Pro. I travel a lot (a lot lot) and would like to get some thing for travel without having to carry around a box with me and without having to pack and unpack and set it all up at home every time I get back.

Traveling with the shield just won’t work because it’s way too big. Are there any good Android sticks? All of the reviews have been negative for the ones I can find, either bad Wi-Fi or slow and latent. Last resort I can get a fire stick 4K but I really don’t like the Amazon interface and would prefer to stay with android.

Every time I try to login to Google from a third party app on CCwGTV, for example to add Google Drive to FX File Explorer or to backup Tasker settings to Google Drive, the process starts well by showing me a list of my accounts on the device for me to select one, but then I get a message that says:

Something went wrong
Sorry, this app is not supported. Please try again later

This used to work before. A few months ago, when I setup CCwGTV for the first time, I was able to add Google Drive to FX File Explorer and to create a Tasker task that copied files between my device and Google Drive. However, when trying to do this again I get the error above.

Note that the features configured originally continue to work! What I'm unable to do is to create new ones.

I've tried a number of things: I've disconnected my USB hub, connected via Wi-Fi, removed additional accounts, turned off VPN, and disabled developer options. I believe my setup is now as vanilla as it can be without resetting to factory, which I would loathe to do.

Can someone please suggest me any app / website to watch / download anime

Seems as so Verizon Wireless is blocking SmartTubeNext. I never had a problem until suddenly. Now videos won't play unless I am connected to a VPN or another carrier. I try using both beta and stable versions. No dice. smh. At least when connected with a VPN I can by pass Verizon's 1080p limit but I don't want to use VPN just so I can watch YouTube. That's crazy!

So I got a Chromecast with Google TV, and set it up on my RCA TV. I managed to setup the power button and the volume buttons just fine, but no luck with the input.

I noticed that when its connecting, it tries various different "codes" until you find one that works. I imagine it does that to emulate the control remote that came with the TV.

My question is, is there a way for it to try more codes? Because if the problem is that the device just doesn't have the code that my specific TV uses, I don't mind looking for it myself, as long as I can input it in. The control remote my TV came with is kind of shitty, and having a working input button is literally the only thing I would need in order to never use it again.

I connected the chromecast with google tv to my router with an ethernet cable using an usb hub. My mobile or pc is connected to the wifi network that is broadcasted by the same router. Google home cannot find my google tv. What am I doing wrong? Or is this setup not supported?
