As I was struggling for a couple of days with the Google TV / Google Play Movies app on my phone. It was getting disabled automatically. I think I just found a solution to this issue. I uninstalled the previous Google TV / Google Play Movies app on my phone. I have a Google account of Phillipines country, I just used that account to install this app from playstore. And now this app is not getting disabled. My friend also used a Pakistani Google account and installed this app and he has no issue. I am assuming that if you are getting this disabling problem, use the Google account for installing this app which is not supported by Google (Google has told only 14 countries are supported and Phillipines and Pakistan is not present in it)

The current version of Xbox Game Pass for Android now has an Android TV icon, so can be added to the Home screen without any tricks. (There is also a striking Xbox splash screen at launch, I presume to indicate xCloud now running on Series X hardware.)

Surprisingly, the app is not yet available for Android TV via Play Store despite this, so still needs sideloading or installation from a third-party app store like Aptoide; hopefully it will be on Play Store soon.

There is also one regression I noticed. The DPAD_SELECT button no longer works within the app. If your remote (incorrectly) generates ENTER for the "Select"/"Center" button on your remote you won't notice, but for those of us with remotes that generate the correct DPAD_SELECT this means we'll have to use the game controller immediately upon launching the app.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there is no easy way to get rid of the "New update: Tap here to know what's new with this update" popup without using a touchscreen or mouse. Reading and clearing all new notifications doesn't do it.

I am from India and currently using Chromecast with Google TV here. I have imported it from US as its not official available here hence many features aren't available here like "For you" section.

Now, Google TV is coming to India officially by a 3rd party company's stick which is realme 4k google tv stick.

My question is if the Google TV is now coming to India then can we have the full features in our already bought CCwGTV with an upgrade or something? Do you guys think that this can happen?

I bought the Onn. Streaming Stick from Walmart. All apps and the OS have been updated, but Pandora appears "zoomed in". I can only see the top left 25-30% of the screen. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Pandora, and tried a factory reset too. Has anyone seen this, or know of a work around?

The physical remote has its led light pulsating. As far as I know, the only way to fix it is to re-pair it. But for that it requires me to make use of the android tv remote app to navigate to the settings in my Google tv. (Few months back had the same issue and fixed it that way). For some reasons now the app doesn't seem to connect/discover my Android tv/s in the same network.

Is there any alternative solution to this? It's killing me really. I'm in Germany. I have a suspicion it's related to Google's development of the google tv remote App. Anybody with any insights into this?

TV is running Android TV 10. Looking for an app on Play Store that will display detail hardware info about the TV such as CPU, memory, supported audio formats, HDMI ports/HDCP version number, Bluetooth version etc. There isn't much from the TV settings. Thanks

We just got our Android TV. We only use it for Netflix, Hulu, and some Youtube and besides some occasional buffering suffer no problems when in use. Android and Alexa assistants turned off, we don't chromecast to it. Almost every day, usually when we're sleeping, the TV will scream at max volume "Something went wrong, please try again in a few seconds".

Is there any way to figure out what's causing this to stop it? Can we force the TV off instead of it just being in sleep mode? Do we need to just set the volume to zero EVERY TIME we're done using the TV?

Hello! I'm new around here. I have and old tv and an even older home theater, i have a Chromecast, but i can't enjoy it with my home theater. So i'm looking for an Android box around 60-70 bucks, wich i could connect to my Home teather, wich have a RCA connection.

I'm interested in the mecool mk2, but i have read experiencies that the SPDIF port doesn't work.

So i'm looking for any recomendattion you can give me.

I have a Chromecast with Google TV (what a mouthful) and when I want to cast something to the TV, like Netflix or Youtube, I usually have to do it at least two times. The first time sometimes just doesn't work, or it only plays the audio, and then I have to stop it and start casting it a second time for the video to show up. Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to fix it?

After Google finally released a newly updated android tv remote for android phones, the iOS “android tv remote” app stopped working for me. It no longer detects my Chromecast devices even though my iPhone and Chromecasts are on the same network. I heard Google will eventually implement their new mobile remote into the Google home app for iPhone users. But in the meantime what is an android tv remote app for iPhones that works?

I owned a "Wetek" and a "Mecool KIII Pro" with "Android OS". I was able to have simultaneously audio output thru HDMI, S/PDIF and analog jack output. Now I have a "Mecool Km2" with "Android TV" but I can't get sound thru analog jack output in any way. I only can hear some sound just when system is booting, but after that, only have sound thru HDMI and S/PDIF.

Anyone got to have sound thru analog output??? Please, how did you get it? I'm mad about this issue and have not reply from Mecool. Is maybe related to "Android TV" working mode?

I'm not able to see duo app in the apps section. I had to go to settings -> apps to find and open the app. Am I missing something?

Also is there any other app for video calling?

I want to buy a tv and I cannot choose between these three brands. I have read a number of reviews but found a lots and lots of negetive and positive reviews. Is there any way to receive sound in a gamepad? I'm using a dualshock 4, the ps4 controller, and when I connect it to my android tv box via USB with a headphone attached to the gamepad, the sound stays on the tv.

Can i route it to the headphone, like the console does?

My android device is a mecool km6 deluxe.
