Greetings! I've just bought a new Sony Android TV (the J series) which comes with Android 10 pre-installed. I tried to install TVirl but the problem occurred with the link between TVirl and the default TV app ( com.android.tv ): It does not show anything about live streaming or live channels. There are just analog and digital options.. Live channels app is somehow not available in the Play store.
Is anyone having the same problem?
Have you tried installing manually Live Channels from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/live-channels-android-tv/ .
The Live Channels app is no longer a system app on Android 10 but it's still available on the Play Store, the problem is, for some reason it won't appear when using the manual search or voice search inside the Play Store but when using the Google Assistant, we're still not sure if that is a bug or something made on purpose by Google.
Seems the Live TV app being sunsetted. TiViMate is so superior to any of these older solutions.
