Hey again!
I have noticed that since i've started watching 4K SDR movies directly from my HDD plugged into my 4K tv, it has often gotten pixelated at some spots in the movie, like when something moves fast in the movie.
I have been watching 4K movies for a long time directly from my 2TB HDD, and it have been working fine. Even with the heavier 4K files (I have played files around 60GB with 4K HDR). Then suddenly one day when I was watching a WEB-DL that was around 7 GB and in 4K SDR, it got pixelated quite often in the movie, even in scenes where it wasn't much movement!
Because of this I have been thinking, is it the SDR that requires faster transfer speed, or doesn't it actually matter??
Because when I have been watching WEB-DL's before but they were 4K HDR files, it worked flawless, (both WEB-DL, WEBRip & BluRay) also without any stuttering and pixelation, I think that is very weird. Because I mean they are not any different from the WEB-DL's I have been watching recently, but they get pixelated quite often anyways now.
So is it something with the SDR that is the problem or should it work? Is it any other problem, because I have been able to watch 4K movies without problems, and then it suddenly won't work as good as before. I wanna say that my HDD use USB 3.0 and the TV port is USB 2.0, but it have been working anyways.
I also wanna note that most 1080p files play fine on the tv, but also 4K files have been working well so why not now?
The media players I have been using is VLC and Nova Video Player. I watch the movies directly from my external 2TB HDD and it have always been working well until now.
The TV I am using is Hitachi 50HAL7351
