Hello I have and lgcx oled and when i try to play hdr mkvs they are not displayed in hdr
I tried to install kodi nerd and kodi fandangos those only play dolby vision mkv's but bot simple hdr ones
How can i play hdr mkvs in kodi please?
Edit: the xiaomi tv stick 4k is only compatible with dolbly vision...it doesnt support hdr or hdr10 is there any chance that it will support hdr with a future update?
Are you sure they have HDR10 (not just Dolby Vision) metadata?...
Are you able to get proper HDR using Xiaomi TV stick from another streaming app, like Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc? Eliminate Kodi and mkvs from the equation just to verify if HDR is working via other apps with this chain of devices (your TV and your streaming stick)
Have you tried using a different Android video player app to play these mkvs? Eliminate Kodi from the equation.
Are you sure your mkvs contain proper HDR data?
Software-wise, I am running Kodi 19.4 (Matrix) and I am able to get HDR to work in this configuration, although my hardware is vastly different. (Shield Pro → Denon s760h → Sony X900H, all connected with Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps cables).
