It turns out YouTube did't really shutdown "https://www.youtube.com/tv". Now it adds a user agent check and only allows supported devices to continue using its Leanback interface. SmartYouTubeTV already has user agent spoofing built in. So you don't really need to do anything. But if you are curious, you can try spoofing in a browser.

I recently bought a 43" VU Premium Android TV (43-OA). It has a 43" DLED VA panel as per the company. The TV does show superb blacks and punchy colors.
But I have a HUGE problem that is forcing me to return the TV: The TV shows a subtle flickering on all the scenes. This is much more apparent on flat grey content (e.g. YouTube app UI). I recorded it with a high-speed camera and it shows that the backlight is going from top to the bottom like old CRT TVs: https://imgur.com/R302wZv (1/8x speed).
Could it be a design flaw? Would there be any expert user-accessible settings, third-party apps (without root) that I can tweak and solve this? I tried playing with all the regular "picture" settings, but no luck. I'm okay if the TV consumes more power if at all that is a reason they're not turning on all the LEDs!.
P.S. If this is not the correct subreddit, kindly suggest so. :)
