I have a Hisense 50H8F which has its own Ethernet port. The problem is, as I found out, it is just 100Mb connection and I need gigabit connection for in-home network streaming of 4K HDR rips. So I went and plugged gigabit Ethernet to USB adapter into my TV's USB 3.0 port (thinking it might give me better speeds). But it has no reaction at all. It's like the TV's own Ethernet port is a priority and it cant recognize other one. I used to use this same adapter on Mi Box S, so the adapter itself is fine.

So my question is, can I somehow disable the built-in Ethernet port, so that I can use the one via USB 3 adapter?

For the second time the debates have only been available from News android apps. Last time they were on CNN, and could only be watched on the CNN Go app. Today it's only available on the NBC News app or the Washington Post app.

In both debates, I installed the apps on my Android TV, and there was no live tv option. After playing around with them for far too long, I pulled out my phone, found the stream right there in the app, and casted it to my tv without a problem.

Isn't half the point of Android TV to be able to use these apps natively? Why are all these apps providing crippled versions on Android TV, and full versions on my phone? I'm getting very tired of app devs -- who are making video streaming apps -- treating Android TV like an afterthought.

Is it possible? Maybe from Sony?

Hey so I have Android TV on the Hisense H9F TV, and for some reason browsing can be really delayed and sports runs suppperr choppy and Skippy on Fox Sports. Some people have been saying it's because of the Oreo Updated but is there any other way I can fix this? All thoughts are welcome!

I know it is the way download apk from web and install but i can’t trust this apk files.

I am not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but maybe it can be crossposted to other suitable subreddits later.

What I am looking for is to create a live TV-like experience for my users with my own videos.
To elaborate, if I have 5 videos, I want them each to appear as 1 'channel' to the user who can flick through the 5 'channels' at their own pleasure and since the video would just be running at the background (so not a pause and resume function) it will create a real live TV experience.

Is this possible somehow? I know Android TV has a TV Input Framework but no idea if that can do this? I speculate the machine would have to be quite strong for it to have multiple videos running at all times... Or maybe there is some other way?

Hi All, I've been looking to get a small TV in the bedroom and wanted to see what the best option is to get android on it. I looked at an android powered tv, bu they are all a bit too big for what I need. I looked at the FireTV stick and Shield stick, but they both require an additional power supply. Where I'm looking to put the TV there are no sockets and I want to minimise the amount of cabling. Is there a better option I'm missing?

I have a Blaupunkt 4K 'Smart' TV with android 6.0 on it , some sort of customized version of android with narrowed down settings. It does not come with built in Bluetooth settings or functionality.

I bought a USB to Bluetooth external transceiver, connected to the TV's USB port but no way to enter the settings of Bluetooth as such item does not exist under the Settings menu.
Is it possible to add it somehow , alternatively, any android app to access BT settings ?
The TV's android is not rooted, I tried my luck with one random chineese rooting app but no avail. No idea how to root it to change stuff 'under the hood'.

Hoping someone can help. I have a TCL Android TV just gone to use Disney+ for the first time and I can hear music/background sounds however there is no voice coming through. I have no sound system connected just using the built in tv speakers. Netflix, Foxtel Stan VCL Kodi etc do not have a problem.
