I'm wanting to buy the new Chromecast. I was hoping to find it in stores. And anyone had any luck buying it in store, at a Walmart or Best buy? It seems like if people could find them before launch day you think we should be able to find them on launch day.

Are all apps showing up in "continue watching" or just particular ones?

It does not look like the new Chromecast supports 4K in vudu or movies anywhere. The google play versions play in 4K but not hdr or Dolby vision

Does anyone know if the new Chromecast renders the UI in native 4K? I have a shield and know that the NVIDIA shield outputs the UI @ 1080p and upscales?

Can anyone confirm if Netflix UI renders in 4K also... does the same thing on the Shield.

The new Chromecast with Google TV is an appealing product but I'd like to know if it can be used without a logged in Google Account.

I read that Android TV can be used without signing in to an account and side loading apps is possible but can the new Google TV do the same?

Requiring an account to activate is not ideal but Chromecast already has that stipulation so that's fine as long as I can sign out after set-up and still use it.

I know some places sold them prematurely, just wondering if anyone has tried after 5he announcement

I tried to connect a device (my old Nintendo Wii) with my Xiaomi Wemax One Pro projector running Android TV using a triple chinch to 3.5mm jack adapter. The projector recognises that a device is connected (it is white, not grey in the menu), but when I try to switch to the AV input, it says that there is no signal. I tried the exact same adapter with the exact same cables with a TV and another projector and it worked both times. Do I have to change any settings maybe? I hope that anyone can help me :-)

I like the aesthetic of Google TV's remote much more than the Shield's but so far no one has confirmed if it can pair with it. Can anyone confirm?

If you don't already have one ordered, as of right now the only stores I see that have it available for purchase online are Google and Wal-Mart. Google's ETA was near the end of October so I went with Wal-Mart's free next day. Try searching Sabrina as Wal-Mart had it listed under the codename only. Maybe other stores have it under that name.

Edit: online on Best Buy now, but delivery times may vary.

Just a heads up I went to Target and picked up two. Had to have the employee scan the Barcode from the Brickseek Walmart link. Comes up as Project White A for Target. $49.99.

Just to be clear, they are in back room stock not on the shelves.

Does it still require you to sign out and then go back to the account selection and sign in again or does it finally have hot swappable account selection?
