I've been using Puffin browser for a while on my Chromecast and it gets very annoying whenever that monthly payment thing pops up, I've tried using other browsers but it does not have a built-in adblock feature, is there any browsers that has an adblock feature built in and its free?

On initial setup the remote paired and had the function to control my Samsung tv through HDMI-CEC. Had a couple issues with tv resetting the CEC options so decided to forget and repair the remote and setup under the IR option.

I pick my brand of tv (Samsung), select setup volume control, get to the screen that advises "next you'll hear music" hit next but then get an error. No error code is given just "something went wrong" and can either try again or cancel.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking about buying a top-box but I don't know which one to buy, on the one hand I have the Mi Box S which in addition to having support for 4K (although I still don't have any TV with support for it) has 2GB Ram, a processor more powerful and the possibility of adding a speaker via 3.5mm cable, in addition to being able to expand its capacity with a USB stick. Mi Stick is cheaper and only supports 1080p which is the resolution of my televisions. In Portugal the Mi Stick is around €30 cheaper than the Mi Box and that's why I ask if anyone has either of them to help me in the decision.

Just got the new Hisense u8g which runs android tv. Everything has been excellent so far except apple tv.

The show/movie will start, but then the picture will freeze. When i look at the seek bar I can still see the time moving but the picture is frozen. I went and tested the same app and show on my chromecast with google tv on another television and it works fine. That TV doesn't do dolby vision so maybe that's at play here.

internet connection is strong, 300 mbps. This is a fresh install of the app and the tv is brand new 3 days ago. Every other video/app has worked great so far. Any ideas what's going on?

We often use Google home mini speakers to set kitchen timers. If we say ok Google stop it seems to be a 50/50 chance if the timer will stop or the whatver tv app we are using closes. Normally this isn't that big of deal, but if we are using out cable on demand feature it often makes us restart the show from the beginning with no way to skip ahead.

I just want my tv to not listen to voice commands I give my speaker. I have turned off the mic on my remote but it seems the it is all interconnected.

Our TV (sharp Android 9 LC-58Q620U) has a port on it labeled service port it is identical to an AUX port. does anyone know what the reason for this port is? I keep mistaking as the headphone port since they both are on the bottom the service port is right of the headphone port.

I'm able to use chromecast, but I can't find miracast anywhere. I would like to connect PC to TV and use it as a second monitor (extending), but with chromecast I can only mirror the desktop.

Many Android TV streaming devices come with a YCBCR(With a number such as 22, 20, or 44) default color space setting. Is this better than RGB? I noticed that when watching HDR content, especially in the darker scenes, RGB is much brighter, while still maintaining the black detail (Because of the TV I have.)

If RGB is better, why do streaming devices come with that YCBCR by default? In your honest opinion, which is better? And which have you chosen as your default color space option?

Hello, I've been trying to watch the euros from the TV itself,we don't have an aerial or cable service, just internet,

The BBC app loads right up and I can watch the live channel stream from the app perfectly fine. The itv app however doesn't have a live channel stream from the itv hub app, some googling shows they only support live stream on certain TVs.

I managed to find a workaround using TVplayer app, which allows you to watch TV channel streams, admittedly losing some quality, but opened it up to watch the game.today and they've removed itv support from their app, just my luck

Anybody have any ideas or recommendations on how I can watch itv channel streams on my TV?

since 3 weeks now my TV does not work anymore...when I turn it on, the TCL (its a TCL TV) shows up, then I only have a black screen where normally the android logo would show up - nothing happens.

When I hold the power button long enough, it shows me an icon of a "dead" android figure (picture is there)...since my TV has no button to do a factory reset without turning it on, I can not do it because I dont get to the point where I could do it using my remote. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? I am desperatly searching for a solution...

I have my CCwGT volume control set to Sonos (IR). The control works well, but the quality is not that good. It looks like that by default the internal volume of the CCwGT is set to maximum, hence massive distortion, as you would expect with any device with the volume at maximum. When i decrease the volume, it's controlling my Sonos beam directly, but because the volume of the CCwGT by itself is at max, quality is quite bad. Only solution i've found is to switch back the volume control to chromecast..but then I have to play with both volume from Sonos and CCwGT....not the best.

Does anyone have the same issue ? Any trick to lower the internal CCwGT volume when volume control is set to Sonos (IR) ?

So, when I add YouTube on the Home Screen, it says 3 channels, Recommended, Trending & Subscriptions. But, none of them are updating with time, they're just stuck and show the same videos.

The youtube app is not great. Does anyone know of an easy way to switch accounts with family membars on YouTube app for the TV. My VirginMedia Tivo box has a YouTube app and it allows for easy account switching, how come? To switch I have to sign out and sign in to the desired account which is not great!

Has anyone gotten voice match to work with Google assistant on their Android TV / Google TV. Just got a Sony Bravia KE65A8 2020 edition with it built in. I cant seem to get the Google assitant to recognise multiple people. It can recognise me but if my brother wants to use his voice he has to go into settings and switch accounts for Google Assistant. So anoying.

I'm looking to purchase a new 4K TV, and wanted to figure out if I should look at an Android TV or remain with my 4K FireTV Stick.

For hardware, I use a Yamaha YST-800 soundbar with subwoofer, which integrates directly with my FireTV Remote. For software, I only have a Netflix subscription, and have sideloaded SmartTubeNext and Kodi for other viewing requirements.

Would there be any inherent quality difference between the a native Android TV and using my FireTV Stick?

I just bought a tv box, the mecool MK2, and unfortunately I discovered that my Denon AVR 3313 can't handle it (I think the HDMI protocol is the guilty).
Can you suggest me some solutions?

I used to have the files save to dropbox, then had an app that I could chromecast the file to the TV, but I haven't done that in years. I just picked up a CCwGTV and torrent on my desktop. What's the best way to send those to my TV?
