I have a Shield Pro, I'm in Canada, and I'm trying to watch Olympic events from last night in CBC Gem. I can start watching a past event just fine, but it starts from the beginning, and there doesn't seem to be a way to skip forward. I've tried the fast-forward button, moving around with the directional buttons, and using a mouse, and none have worked. I can play & pause, and I can show the playbar, but I can't skip forward. I can skip forward fine on my phone or in a web browser on my laptop - but with both, as soon as I start Chromecasting, it goes back to the start and doesn't let me skip forward.

I figure there must be other Canadians in here who have had this problem - has anyone solved it? I don't really want to rewatch the first 5 hours of cycling road race...

Is there any free android FIFA game to play on my android TV? If yes, how's the gameplay?

Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if someone could please attempt to pair their Chromecast with Google TV remote to a smart Android TV (preferably a TCL model, since that's what I have)? I'm contemplating purchasing a 'replacement' CCWGTV remote from Google so I can replace the cheap plastic one included with my TV, but I'm not sure if it would work. The main reason I'm unsure is because of the IR functionality on the remote, if it is required to use the volume, input, and power buttons, or if it can be programmed without buying the whole set with the dongle.

I'm thinking of buying a new TV set.

I've noticed that many TV sets nowadays (at least in my country) don't seem to have latest Android TV versions, and I suspect they also don't get support of new versions for long.

I think it's much worse than on smarphones, even though the prices are much higher and people don't get new TVs as often as a new smartphone.

Is it true? How long have you guys got new updates for your TV sets that have an Android TV ?

Or maybe some TV manufacturers do a good job in providing updates for a long time? Or have some way to flash new Android TV versions? And I guess custom ROMS are out of the question :)

Maybe it's better to buy a TV set without checking anything about the OS (even non-Android-TV) and just connect an Android TV box, like the "chromecast with google tv" ?

Another form factor is the hardware itself. I've noticed that some TVs are quite slow, and I think the TV manufacturers don't put a good SOC inside, probably to save cost and because users don't care much about it.

I have a mibox s android tv, and have the eurosport player android tv app installed, the video has good quality, but it's a little choppy, there's no way to solve it. Anyone has the same problem?

I've installed the google chrome android app, and played the ESP player on the website and it's fluid.

I have a MiBox on Android 8.x. I like the older, simpler builds.

Last week or so, I kept getting a random RSA Key prompt. I searched for the MAC, couldn't find it in my network, but finally hit OK on it a few days ago, thinking who could be trying to hack me and why?

Anyhow, this morning, my TV, Box turned off unexpectedly. Came on in a few minutes, by itself and it looked like it had be factory reset on the set up screen!

Before I could figure out what was happening, I saw the RSA Key box pop up again, and this time, the checkbox was checked by itself and it felt like someone else was in control!

I quickly killed the power source of the box, disconnected the Ethernet cable.

Question is, did I actually get infiltrated? How serious is it, if I did? What actions should I take to be secure my network first and can I use this box again?

Please help!

Hello all, I had attempted this a few months back on a friends Google TV and the remote had worked except when I went to search for something and the keypad would not recognize the center button clicking on a letter. Thinking of getting my own Google TV to see some possible performance gains but hate that remote. Has anyone been using their firestick remote on the Google TV device and gotten everything to work fully?

Is Smartube Next safe? It needs to update almost every time I use it

All of my Android TV devices seem to be pausing streaming content. I can navigate the menus, choose something to play, then it pauses. If I push play it'll play then pause as if I pushed pause immediately after.

So far this is happening on YouTube and prime. I've restarted the devices several times and at some point they work again until they don't.

Anyone else?

Since I bought my recent TCL Android TV (65C715K) I have noticed that the audio through HDMI is noticeably delayed by around 150ms or so when playing any content on Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, YouTube etc. This applies to all HDMI ports using multiple devices. All my HMDI cables are high speed. Some cables support up to 8K@60Hz Dolby Vision. I stream all of my content through an Apple TV 4K but I I have tried other external devices as well. I don’t have a sound bar so I am just using the TV speakers. Even lower quality feeds are delayed (SDR, 1080p etc) through HDMI only. When playing any content through HDMI there is silence for the first couple of seconds before the audio kicks in and it is out of sync.

NOTE: when playing content through the native apps on the TV, there is NO audio delay and it works perfectly.

Below is I what I have tried but without success:

• Tried multiple devices on all ports (Now TV stick, Apple TV, Apple TV 4K, Laptop through HMDI, Playstation)
• Swapped around various cables
• Restarted the TV and Devices.
• Restored TV to factory settings and also Apple TV to factory settings.
• Updated the TV to the latest firmware (v645) and software (Android 9)
• Updated all my devices
• Used each audio setting on the TV (PCM, Pass through, Auto and Off)
• Changed the audio delay slider in the TV settings
• Tested with Dolby Atmos turned on and off.
• Wired the TV and external devices to ethernet instead of WiFi
• Checked that the HDMI ports are set to 2.0

Everything seems to point to a HDMI issue on the TV (either hardware or firmware) when streaming anything through it (I have a 500Mbs broadband connection)

Any Ideas?

I have a tv that has android tv 9 in it, and today morning there came an system update and after i have downloaded it, all the sounds disappeared, also i'm using home theatre system that is connected with hdmi arc, but no sound comes out of any of the speakers, so what should i do and what was this update?

I am looking for a TV box for my caravan and really need two things 1) must run off either usb 5v or vehicle 12v and 2) supports up to 4tb external usb hdd.

I can find plenty that meet requirement 1) but can't find anything that works for 1 & 2...

I use (and love) nvidia shield in the house, but it does not meet my voltage criteria (without a dc2dc converter) and is also overpriced for my caravan needs.

are there any sports streaming sites other than nowtv UK that stream in 4K quality.

I know BT SPORTS does.

but all according to the coutntry you are in , do u have any legal sports streaming sites that stream content in full HD, 4K , HDR.
