Hitachi Android TV stuck in an infinite bootloop

by Mypetrussian

Hi,

I have a 43HAK6150U H and after an alert came up for a system update, which I did, my tv is now stuck in a bootloop. It shows the Hitachi logo, Android text screen, black screen, then goes back to Hitachi. If I unplug all connections from the TV it will show the home screen for like 3 seconds then go back to the Hitachi bit. The 3 things I have tried so far are the soft reset (hold down power while unplugged, plug back in), a hard reset for Sony TVs that I hoped would work (hold down power while plugging in TV) and just cooling the TV down in case it was the heat as we are in the middle of a heat wave in the UK.

I can't seem to find much information on this TV online, so I'm not sure it's a particularly popular model, but I was hoping someone here may have a solution I haven't tried while I try to get in touch with the place I bought it from.

Cheers for any help.

Update: Argos sent me the firmware as well as instruction on how to use it, which I have put in a google drive here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1v-qbpoxlSHgPPyByvgiL5KnDhz9IshTy

Just in case anyone has the same TV and finds this post googling for a solution, it worked for me :)

Maybe this works:

Additionally, how do I reset my Hitachi TV without remote? Method 2

Turn the TV off. Press and hold the {INPUT} button on the TV then press {POWER}. Hold both buttons until the TV powers on with the Service Menu displayed. Use the {UP} {DOWN} buttons to select items. Use the {LEFT} {RIGHT} to change the data. Press the {EXIT} button to exit the Service Menu.

Im not sure how to help you out with your tv but I'm laughing because your heatwave is our winter temperatures 🤦🤣 my best mate lives in Leeds . Good luck with your TV 💪

I've got exactly the same problem. Doing my head in. Is the tv now dead?!

My tv literally just did the same thing 😱

Has anyone had joy with the USB or is everyone still waiting?

Thanks for the firmware! When I plug the USB in however, the TV remains on standby and won't switch on. Followed all the instructions carefully. Thoughts? (The same update into bootloop thing just happened to me, same model and everything!) Cheers

Just had this issue on my Hitachi tv and the software you provided worked perfectly, thank you!
