I've been looking into getting a smart tv and was doing some research on screensavers when I stumbled upon this video on Youtube. Within the video I noticed an option under Settings -> Device Preferences -> Screen Saver -> Screen Saver -> Photo Gallery and Screensaver -> Photo Sources -> External Drives.
The video doesn't show what this does or tell me which version of Android TV this is. But I was curious if this option would allow me to insert a USB drive into the TV and then have it load a custom looping video screensaver from it.

First let me say I have already gone through "troubleshooting" for Google Home/Nest and YouTube and YouTube Music. My playlists are working perfect on both Computer and Android device. When using either YouTube Music inside CCWGTV or the YouTube Music App I can download with my LG TV, about half of the playlists show the song count at the top with the Title of the Playlist, but you get a message saying the Playlist has no contents. If a playlist has only albums in it, I can sort YTM by the album and things are all there. They are not in the Playlist on any YTM TV app. Again playlists on other devices are working perfect but not on ANY TV app, (in CCWGTV or YTM app you can separately download on both my Sony and LG TVs.) I can cast from phone and computer to the TV. Here is a link to the picture of one of the playlists, there are many like this. But you see even in the Playlist title on the TV app, there are contents in the playlist. Those numbers match the working playlist on my Pixel and my Computer. https://photos.app.goo.gl/KJaxeVV2UR7YB2Cm7 Please help with this because it has been going on for close to 2 years. Every report I file, they said it isnt them. I do not actually think it is a YouTube issue because the playlists are fine on every device but the TV app. This is a TV app issue and I wonder who even manages the TV apps. Is the the actual app teams for other devices or do the TV apps have to be totally different from say a Pixel or Computer or Chrome.
