I have a Procaster 55A900H, and there is barely any info about it on internet, like for example i only found a single video review on youtube and i believe that video was in russian. Even the manual and the website where i bought the tv, doesn't tell how bright it can get, so is there an app that could test it and tell me results?

If I restart my TV (TCL S423) connected to Onn UHD, only the Android volume changes when I click on volume up and down on Onn remote, expectation is that it should change volume of the TV or soundbar volume. Once I toggle CEC switch option on and off from Device Preferences on Onn UHD, everything works again. This happens every time I turn on my TV and it's frustrating.

Below options on my Onn UHD Android box are turned on -

CEC Switch, One Key Play, One Key Power Off

Does anyone else have this issue with their Android Box or suggest what I am missing here? Thank you!

Looking to pick one of for my in-laws to use on a 1080p TV. Local Walmart only has the FHD in stock. I have a good amount of experience with the UHD while they weren't perfect at launch i feel pretty much all major bugs have been ironed out. These are great!

Is the FHD pretty much the same in performance and stability as the UHD? Is it still getting the same updates?

Edit: yep, bought the FHD and it was much slower and had it freeze up a few times. Also didn’t know it’s much different in terms of updates. It’s back on android 9. Returned it. Found a Walmart about 20 minutes away that had the UHD.

As the title says. Tried looking up the issue, everything i was finding was for tvs already setup. Tried unplugging both router and tv. Tried to do the setting up with the phone (4 hrs later same copying screen).

Any ideas?

Based on my title, my Skyworth 55G6 (which I bought in early 2019), has been showing horizontal lines and flickering on the screen. We searched in YT how to fix it, which was to tape the ribbon to block the signal, and it worked. However, the horizontal, flickering things came back a year later, and we couldn't fix it anymore.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm in the process of changing from an ISP settop box solution to a 'cheaper' ISP with IPTV. The IPTV is still expensive, but I live with my elderly mother, so I need reliability and simplicity.

The first problem is having to use two remotes, so I was considering getting a cheap universal remote to power off the TV when the Android box goes off. I assume someone makes an Android universal remote? It might be easier to leave the TV on, as it will go into power saving mode anyway.

Problem #2 is getting the Android box to default to the IPTV app when it powers on and lock out everything else.

A large part of my screen is blocked when I change the volume. Is there some way to change how it looks i.e. make it transparent or move it? I have a Hisense TV if that helps.

I have two ONN devices (Love them) and I have an issue with Netflix forcing HDR on the ONN boxes. Does anyone else with ONN and Netflix see this? I have turned off HDR on my Samsung TV's. I also turned off HDR on the ONN devices. But Netflix is still pushing HDR. If I open any other streaming app I don't have this issue. Only Netflix. Has anyone found a way to fix this other than canceling Netflix? That is my next step.

Once I sideload the XGP beta app, on Chromecast with Android TV will it automatically be updated or do I have to continually sideload the app when it's updated?

Some device keeps trying to connect over Bluetooth... And by constantly I mean like 5-10 times a day at least. Sometimes it will go a week or two without trying and then it will start again, including randomly turning on and trying to connect in the middle of the night. I have turned off Bluetooth visibility, but it still tries to connect and when I check settings, visibility is somehow back on. Does not matter if I accept the connection or decline it, it still pops up again and again. It has literally popped up 5 times in the time it took to write this post.

Hi, I recently bought a Sony x85J. It's great! but I want to be able to have netflix, plex, disney+ etc. have variable playback speeds, I'm having quite a bit of difficulty finding out how. For my windows machine, I have a chrome plugin that can change the speed, and that works wonderfully, but since google tv is more locked down I cannot (have not found a way) install that extension. I would love help.

I have a Leelbox Q3 from 2018 that I've been messing with. It has two USB ports. However, they do not recognize my usb to nvme drive, nor do they recognize my 500gb 2.5" usb hdd. It does appear to recognize a USB flash drive however. I guess my question is - is this a possibility, and what configuration should I be looking to get for this setup?

Ambient mode, even with cCwgtv won't show all my google photos. Is this stilla known bug, or annoying feature? Yes, I have tried: Turning curate to live albums only Favourites or starring photos for the album's Using Chromecast Using Chromecast Ultra Using Chromecast with Google tv Resetting the modem Resetting the chromecast.

Can anyone please solve this problem? I've literally found about half my photos will refuse to be on ambient mode. If 'star these particular photos, the favorites album won't even show as an option to select in ambient. Only once start photos Google likes, then does it become available, but ambient mode will still actively ignore half the photos

Loklok is an app to watch and stream movies for free, its on android phone but wont show in android tv playstore. Anyway i can install the app in the tv or can you guys suggest any alternative thats free, i just dont want to commit to a monthly fee as i seldomly watch tv, i just want something available whenever i want to watch something which is not that often.

Hello! I would like to ask about android tv in regards of malware, im new to smart tvs in general so id like to stay informed even if it is rare!

How do i know if its infected? The one here does not have an inbuilt scanner, so would things work like mobile with finding a suspicious app yourself and deleting it?

Would a factory reset be enough to remove it?

Apologies if this is a dumb post, anxiety can be a hassle, i wouldnt really ever use a usb or anything, im more concerned over something like a worm infecting it, thank you!!! (Also not really sure what to flair this as, so apologies)
