my Philips TV, during the night , updated from TPM191E_R.001.002.173.010 to TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.

And now Kodi won't let me use the NTFS USB Drive that i've always used since i got the TV at the beginning of the year.

Does anyone have a similar issue?

I tried formatting the drive to FAT32 and it's all good, but in NTFS not at all.

Any app, even file explorer etc, whey won't let me create folders or filers.

So recently I bought a Philips Ambilight TV, which is compatible with Alexa. TV's set up perfectly, everything's working, updated to the latest software. But the problem is that I just can't find the skill for it in the alexa app. I looked up the issue and a lot of people seem to have this problem. I am from Hungary, so I changed my locations all to United Kingdom ones because they say that the skill is only available there for some reason. Still can't find it. Tried the skill's link, enabled it, but on my account, it doesn't show and it doesn't appear on the skills page either (of course I'm using the same account everywhere). Has everything changed or has anyone come up with a fix to this since the other reddit post was written? Literally tried everything I could and still no success. Without the skill I obviously can't control the TV, that would be the whole point of having an Alexa compatible TV but what are we supposed to do when the most important "ingredient" (the skill itself) is missing? Hoping that there is a fix.

What are some best games for android TV

I just bought a TCL android tv today and when I tried to use the remote to turn it on nothing happened. So I used a keyboard to sutup the the TV and connect the remote to it via Bluetooth. Now the remote works fine but the on/off button is not working. Does anyone know a fix. Thanks.

Hi from Germany. My old samsung smart TV doesn't have the Disney plus App available. My 2 years newer Panasonic smart TV too. I use my xbox one on the Samsung TV to stream and iam looking for a cheap (Max 50€) Android box for my Panasonic TV. Is the xiaomi Box s good? Are there other good boxes in this price Segment? Iam totaly New to this topic. Thank you!

Is there any way I can get Youtube playback speed options?

I've used the Puffin Browser for Android TV app for awhile, which gives you a YouTube web wrapper so playback speed options are available, but the app no longer supports HD properly, and the app itself will randomly crash. Looking for alternatives!

Hi all. I have a bravia hooked up to a sony home theater system. Everything sounds great when using the apps on the TV, netflix, disney+, and also with bluray. I have been trying to play some videos on my tv using a USB stick. The movies are AAC, H.264 and typically stereo audio and I play them using the video player app. I have been having to turn the volume to the max to hear the dialogue and then when there is an explosion my ears die. I have tried to adjust audio settings with no luck. Any help appreciated.

Hello, I live in an area with poor internet quality. So I can watch streaming services only on the good days and I'd like to keep the option of DVB-T2 from the antenna.
Is there some android smart tv box that starts fast, supports google cast and has some kind of input for antenna or set-top box? And how would you go about reducing the number of remotes?
Right now I use remote to turn on projector and another remote to operate stb and I unplug HDMI from stb to notebook when I want to watch streaming services..
I was searching for some hybrid but only found some mecool M8S Plus on aliexpress which probably won't support the Chromecast and the android won't be remote optimized.

So i think you can get the all4 app on sony tvs would anyone with one be willing to extract it for the rest of us

How does the two compare ? If I'm not going to do any game streaming , is paying more for the Shield worth it ?

I finally decided to pull the trigger on an Nvidia Shield today. We've been streaming all of our TV using Hulu Live on Roku for about a year, and I figured that it would make sense to get a more powerful device. The Roku has been overheating quite a bit, and its not really all that fast considering our connection speed. And most of all, I just think the Shield is a really cool device, so I was okay with the high price point as long as we would be upgrading our experience.

As soon as I logged in to Hulu, the gliches started. Live TV would freeze immediately, forcing an app restart. If the channel or on demand / DVR recording actually plays without freezing, it always starts with the audio and video completely out of sync for about 10-15 seconds. If I'm lucky enough to get past these issues and get the show to play normally, it will inevitably freeze at some point anyway, forcing us to restart the episode.

Considering Hulu Live just raised their price again (second time in two years), and this is the BS that we have to deal with (I was also having issues with their app on Roku), I think it may be time for a service switch. Its basically the same price as regular cable at this point.

Anyone else experiencing these issues with the Hulu app? I've seen a couple of posts on it from a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping maybe there was a solution that I don't know about.

Does anyone have one confirmed to work and if so, can you provide a link? I've tried 3 or 4 from Amazon with no luck and I'm tired of rolling the dice. One with Ethernet would be an added bonus, but without is fine too. Thanks in advance!

Is barely functional now. Twitch constanly stops to buffer the stream. Youtube just stops completely whenever the issue occurs (although the audio keeps playing for anothe minute or so) and i need to restart the video.

My other devices work fine as always with my wifi. I tried factory reset without good results.

Hi :)I use smart youtube tv every day, but the last week i have notice that it only shows 3-6 of my subscription channels. It seems it only shows what channels have been updated the last hour or so.

Whenever I try to open the netflix app the device reboots 2 or 3 times then boot again. Tried to clear the data, disable/enable the app with no success.

After that tried to reset the device and during the setup it'd suddenly reboot. Finished the setup eventually and it doesn't soft reboot anymore but the netflix problem still there.

This is my first Android TV device btw.

I have a Bluetooth headset which I have already paired. For the first time, after pairing it will automatically get connected and can hear voice from it. But the problem starts when it's disconnected and try to re-connect again. The problem is that there is no option to 'Connect' to already paired devices. I can see two option one is to change name of paired device and other is to delete the device. It's weird that the option to Connect is not present. Right now, what I do is I will delete the device and then do a search and re-pair it which is a tedious task to do everytime.

So have anyone faced the same problem and managed to get a workaround for this like by using an app that does the job. If so, please let me know in comments.

my daughters box ran into a snag, just stopped working all of a sudden and just stuck on T95mini boot logo. the av pin reset button doesnt do anything so looking to flash to stock fw

I have a Sony tv and when I’m watching tv or playing a game the picture is perfect, but when I watch a streaming service, like Hulu, Netflix, or Disney plus, it seems as if the tv attempts to brighten up the darker areas and it leads to the darker parts of the movie being almost too dark/whitewashed to see. I’ve poked around in the tv and in-app settings and I haven’t been able to find anything that fixes or reduces my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried integrating an external storage by registering it as storage device and trying to migrate data to it using the system menu on my Bravia. However, i get an error that could not migrate data to the external storage. How can I fix this ?

There are a few channels that are integrated in TV section of Kodi. Live channels does not recognise Kodi as a source. Is there any method to make that happen ?
