I got my new Chromecast yesterday. It’s a great upgrade from the Chromecast Ultra which I was using.

I can’t seem to get the recommendations working properly. On the home tab I only have Google Play Movies and YouTube. Netflix does not appear.

Also, the series and movies tabs at the top are not present.

I have a Toshiba android smart tv, it can see all wifi networks, When `i choose the secured one, It doesn't ask me for a username, it asks me only for the password, I insert the password and it fails every time, How can I make the TV ask for the username and password together., Is this possible?

Attempting to update the apps installed on my HiSense H8G, opening the "My apps" sections results in a blank page. The TV is connected to the internet without issues (can load YouTube & Netflix videos without problem. TV is connected via ethernet cable

soo my local Canadian tire has a 50" Skyworth tv for sale at a very good price my question is are they good tvs ?

My ex and I split over a year ago and I left my tv at my parents house for a while. I went to recoup it and noticed that every time I try to log into Netflix her account is there. If I delete or clear the app data, then it logs her out but as soon as I launch it again before I get a chance to log in again it automatically logs her in due to google smart lock. How the hell do I disable this! I refuse to believe the only way is to have her do it through a google chrome browser. There was to be another way but I can't find anything online. Anything you guys could suggest would be amazing. Thanks!

I’m considering cutting the Verizon TV cord and subscribing to Google TV’s family plan at $65/mo. I have 6 people (including me) in my family group.

I have Netflix Premium. Is it worth it to cancel this subscription and get it through Google, or is it a step down in terms of options, streaming quality, and simultaneous streams?

Does Google TV force watching TV on DVR recordings? Is there a fast forward or skip option like on TiVo? This is a big deal for me.

What is the best device for Google Tv? The harder to get Google TV Ultra? The Stadia Premium? Or the smaller basic puck?

Like 2 weeks ago, you could google a movie or show and somewhere in the search result "card" was a button to add it to your Google watchlist. As of yesterday when I tried to do it, I couldn't find the button anymore. I have tried today with different movies and shows but it just seems to be gone, unless they moved it somewhere that I haven't looked.

We recently bought our first 4k tv. It is Sony Bravia KD65X75CH and we live in California, USA. It is an Android TV.

Here some background of our Internet and setup:

-We have two main WIFI networks: 2.5gh and 5G (part of the same service by Spectrum). One older router for the former and a fancier one for the later, both provided by Spectrum.

-The tv is literally next to the router but separated by a thin wall. Other devices are further away from the router and the work perfectly.

During the first few months the tv was working smoothly and zero issues, but for the last 4 weeks or so the TV keeps getting disconnected from 5g connection. The weirdest part is that this happens only with the 5g network. The tv as of right now is not experiencing any issues connecting to 2.5gh EXCEPT when I turn on my ps4, which is also connected to the same 2.5gh network. That's when the system collapses.

So no, it is not viable to connect the tv to 2.5gh cause the moment I turn on other devices connected to the same wifi we will get trouble. And no, PS4 cannot connect to 5g. Besides, the tv should work with no issues,

Important to mention rest of our devices at home are on 5g and they work with no problem, including smartphones, computers, smart speakers.

We did some troubleshooting:

-We reset the tv to its factory form

-We changed channels forthe wifi, both 5g and 2.5gh

-We restarted our WIFI system.

Please, what else can we do?

Do you guys think this is a hardware issue?

Is this Google software issue (Android TV)?

Is this Spectrum issue?

When I connect my Sony headphones to Google TV, everything works great. But, after I disconnect them, I don't have an option to reconnect them later. My only options are to forget and rename. So, I have to forget them and then re-pair them. It's annoying. What am I missing?

The JBl soundbar is connected to the TV with optical cable, not HDMI so the Automatic CEC option won't turn it on either.

For those who updated their Mi Box to android 9, how is it working these days? I never updated at the time and was wondering if I should now. Are issues fixed or are they minor problems? Did the update bring improvements? Share your experience. Thanks.

The new Ambient Mode works on stock Android TV Launcher but if you use Google TV Launcher/LauncherX it crashes or freezes 🙃

I just got the new Chromecast with Google TV. When I'm playing Netflix (one example) and press up on the remote, I see an icon for 'OPTIONS' in the upper left. When I move the highlight to it, it changes to 'AUDIO & SUBTITLES'. How do I select options and what does that icon do if I select it?

(I've done my best to search through this subs past content for this, but can't seem to find it. Maybe I'm not thinking about this correctly and so searching incorrectly. I'm new to androidTV, so my apologies if this has been covered before.)

I just picked up a Sony X900H, w/androidTV built in. I'm coming from an older TV where I used a chromecast dongle and firestick. I enjoyed the ability to switch to/from the chromecast input to any other, then be able to switch back without losing or having to reinitiate the casted content. Now I can only seem to switch back to the chromecast source via the 'back' button on the TV remote, but only if I'm 1 move away. Chromecast doesn't appear as an Input, and I can't seem to find an App to click to return to the casted content. The only way I can see to do this is to disconnect/reconnect from my phone and restart the content.

Is 'Chromecast Built-In' fundamentally different than a physical chromecast device? Is there any way to direct me back to the currently-being-casted content?

When I turn on my tv it automatically starts playing random movie trailers with the volume on, rather than digital television.

Further, when I use the menu or remote to select television, it also plays movie trailers.

I've disabled Google Movies, and now the trailers don't play but I still can't watch digital television.

I've rescanned for digital tv channels and it comes up with 60, but when I select digital tv I just get a blank screen saying there is no input.

This is extremely frustrating and I'd be grateful for some advice.

Hi, I recently bought a Chromecast with Google TV at the Google Store (Spain). I'm having problems with bluetooth, it seems to have a very short range and also does not recognize some devices (keyboard and mouse) that my other devices (Mac and android mobile) do recognize. Is it defective? Should I return it?

Has anyone managed to get the new version of the Xbox app (2009.1016.2010) running on ATV/GTV? The app just opens to a black screen for me then closes. The Cloud Streaming app works but I just want local in-home Xbox streaming.

Anyone else seeing a 6320 error when attempting to watch something on CBS All Access currently?

Enabling a couple of the CBS sites that were being blocked worked out.
