I had saved a bunch of netflix movies to my watchlist last week and now the Google TV app is showing them as paid options only. When I go into support for Google TV, it does not show Netflix on the list of supported apps. What happened here? Am I messing something up?

Most kiosk modes are made for business and come with business pricetags or subscription costs. I'm trying to make my Android TV device (Dynalink DL-ATV36) just auto-launch into Duo on powerup. It doesn't matter if someone can "accidentally" quit and drop back to a home page - it's personal use for a somewhat less savvy family member who can just re-launch/power cycle in the event of an oops.

Are there any launch-from-start options / home pages out there?

Hey guys, recently got a CCwGTV and noticed when we're watching netflix the screen flickers a lot and then sorts itself out and then it happens again. Doesn't do this for Geforce now or other apps.

Anyone else had this or got a solution please?

Since about a week I use the TCL 55ec780 android tv, it works completely fine, except the biggest part of the picture settings don't really do anything. The gamma doesn't change when putting it higher or lower and the same counts for the contrast, hue, saturation and color temperature setting. I've tried multiple software versions, but it doesn't solve anything, does anyone know if there's a solution to this, or should i just send it back?

I picked one of these up for $59 refurbed from ChannelMaster via ebay. Does anyone use this as an Android TV box? It looks like it has decent specs.

Downside is that it has only 1 usb port (3.0) and runs AndroidTV 7.0. I've looked around and haven't seen a way to update the OS yet.

If I add an external HD I can only use it for DVR or for personal storage (I think either the AndroidTV operating system or LiveChannels "encrypts" the drive. I would like to use the HD for personal pics and videos as well as DVR. Is there a workaround for this?

The live channels app seems decent for DVR, but are there better apps for free or without subscription for guide info? I'd also like to be able to transcode recordings to h264 or 265 to increase DVR storage.

Hi, does anyone use a BT remote with a Philips TV? (I have the OLED873)

Right now I’m using its original IR remote but it’s too unreliable so I’d like to buy a BT remote to replace it. Do you know if it’s possible and if I’ll be able to completely replace the IR one?

Any suggestion on which one to buy? I’m looking at something minimal.

I got the new Chromecast with Google TV, and I am using it with my TCL Roku TV. I have programmed the power button, but when I turn the TV on, I have to navigate the Sources on my Roku TV with the Google remote 1st. Is there a way to just Power on into the Google TV home screen?

I recently bought a Sony X800H android tv. I was to connect my Bose Sounwave (older model without bluetooth) speaker to it.

Can anyone please advise which Bluetooth receiver for Bose will be compatible with this tv? I bought a esinkin W29-us wireless audio adapter from Amazon but the tv does not detect it.

Any advice would be really helpful!!

A number of reviews mentioned that the new Chromecast worked well for game streaming, but now that I've tested it (Moonlight, Steam Link, Stadia), it seems as though it has approx. 30 ms decoding latency (vs < 7ms for the Shield for example), which is enough to introduce a noticeable amount of lag... Maybe this is why no official Stadia on the device? Anyone have a different experience?

Hi all, my daughter has a TCL android TV and I'm attempting to side load the Roblox game for her using the latest APK. I can't seem to get it to load it continues to say install failed.

I've had success with the stadia app but this has got me a bit stuck. The APK I downloaded installs just fine on my android phone. Any suggestions.

I side loaded TikTok onto my Google TV Chromecast, but I am now stuck at the login screen where I cannot press the buttons to login to my account.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a mouse-like input interface or another suggestion to get through this screen?

I tried installing the Android TV Remote Control app with no luck.

I can see the device in the bluetooth accessories but the pairing fails. Also, when I try the Sixaxis Compatibility Checker, it says " could not start driver. Check that your device is rooted". Bluetooth address at the bottom is not shown.

Quite strange, on my new chromecast with Google TV I can't choose 4k quality. Even if I see the 4k logo on some videos, when I try to play them I can only choose from 320p to 1080p.

Some time back my Nvidia shield 2017 bricked. This week I bought the new Chromecast with Google tv. I tried pairing the Shield controller and it works flawlessly. Really happy, I love that controller!

Hold Nvidia button for 3 sec and find it in the Bluetooth menu.

I watch a lot of show at midnight and if I up the volume, I fear that I'd wake up my sleeping parents. Is there a way to transfer the sound input into my phone and then use an earphones afterwards while still using the tv as the screen?
