I have an onn 4k streaming box and the remote disconnected and only shows a solid green light. It won't respond to the pairing combination or any button presses. What happened and do I have to buy a new one?

Try taking the batteries out of the remote then reinsert them while holding down the home button. Also did you try fresh batteries? đ
It sucks. Their is a bug linked to some of the devices that do it.
I had that same problem. The batteries were low and it would get stuck. Take out the old batteries, wait for like 2 mins and replace them with brand new ones. That worked for meâŚ. if it doesnât work try taking out the brand new batteries and disconnect the Box for about 5 mins. Connect the Box again and then put in the brand new batteriesâŚ. And if that doesnât work then go to the Box and press the button thatâs next to white LED light to reset the BoxâŚ. And if all that doesnât work then that means your Remote is bad. Hope if works out đ
There is a reset button on the box. Press it for about 15 secs, while it is plugged in. Report if that works for you.
Hopefully it doesn't happen again
If u still have the box and it's under 30 days take it back and get another one or something else. I had that issue. I threw it out. The only possible way is to do a side load updating of firmware. The last regular firmware update did not help
