Mi TV Box S downgraded it self

Hi,

I have a Mi TV Box S. A few months ago I got a new update which installed the new UI interface. Yesterday I was watching a show on Netflix while being connected to a VPN Server in the U.K. It switch my UI without telling me back to the old one. It happened in the background and without a reboot. I read online that the new UI interface is only available in the U.S, Canada and Germany. My tv box automatically downgraded itself because I was connected to a UK VPN. But now it does not switch back to the new UI interface anymore (I live in Germany). I tried looking for new software updates and even tried a factory reset.

Any suggestions how to get the new Ui back?

don't worry it happens but it'll go back to normal. my old reg Mi Box n even Nvidia Shield Pro do that from time to time

Try to remove updates from "Android TV Home" app, should work.

go to settings turn on app only mode and turn it off. Always works on my CCGTV. Don't know if app only mode is in android tv otherwise just go to settings and force stop and clear the settings of your launcher (usually called android tv home or launcherx) should also do the trick. If none of that works go to settings and press delete on the launcher. It won't delete the launcher just remove the updates. Then go to the Playstore and update it. Oh and btw you got some info wrong: The new ui is also available in the Nerherlands
