I recently installed an android update which updated the software version from "Android 9" to "Android TV 11". Now however, I'm met with ads on my homescreen, previously I would just uninstall updates on the "Android TV Home" app but now after the software update, there is no option to uninstall updates. Does anyone know what can i do to get rid of the ads, ive figured its the "Android TV Home" app that causes this is there anyways i can uninstall the updates?
I used ADB to disable the stock launcher completely and use FLauncher instead.
No, what most likely happened is that once you upgraded to android 11 they upgraded the android tv launcher to the latest version meaning that you can't uninstall updates anymore, you can stick with it or install a third party launcher.
I Had the same issue.. I switched to ATV launcher.
You lose out on the few things though, like 'Play next' or 'Resume Playing' feature of the OTT apps that were on the Homepage
The only well know way i am familiar with - use 3rd party launcher :-(
