I just bought the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K and I am interested in rooting it if possible or at least removing all possible bloat. I've already disabled all the built-in apps I didn't use and now I'm thinking if I should update the software or not, it obviously has it's good benefits but I'm scared it could add some limits and/or restrictions on what I can do (rooting if possible; disabling bloat apps; using custom launcher and etc.). I've also heard that Android 11 on TV sticks can have storage bugs which don't let some apps properly access storage and I am unsure if such problems exist on the newest update.

Edit: Currently it's on Android 11 and July 5, 2021 security patch level.

UPDATE: I updated my OS version and it's all good, no need to worry.
