We just bought a 50" TCL Google tv today model 50S446. There was a large update before the tv would let us set it up and we are having the same exact problem. Wow.
Would have went with the roku tv had we known we can't switch between our YouTube profiles without having to remove our account every single time.
Same problem new TV. Can add another user but it doesn't seem to be used for any of the apps. Integration issue on TCL side?
You must add either a gmail address to create the new profile or add a kid under the same email, however, the profiles feature is a server update, therefore, it's going to arrive at any moment, once it hits your TV, you will see a welcome screen and you'll start seeing the profile picker when you turn the TV on or when you reboot it.
While the update arrives you won't be able to select any profiles (except the kids one).
