Sony TV Artifacting?!?

Sony 55xe8596, being driven insane by this, had the TV second hand for a year but suddenly got this artifacting issue, I've seen posts about this affecting one app I.e Netflix. but this is on every app, no other graphical glitches when using the apps the TV is responsive and no visible screen tearing when on menus or apps, I've tried to clear cache and force stop apps, restarted the TV countless times, tried to factory reset TV (failed), is this a GPU issue and should I just take the L?

Update, switching to WiFi had fixed somewhat but still see artifacting on streaming services could be isp as had issues with them before, local video playback fine

Is there any glitching in the UI? In OTA channels? Playing local video files off a USB?

Connected via ethernet or wifi?

If it's only streaming apps, it could be your internet or the TV's network that's the problem.

If the UI is glitching, then the TV is done. If local files glitch, then maybe part of the SoC related to codecs failed.

Go to picture settings, find the motion settings, turn them all off. Motion smoothing, or motion interpolation, introduces artifacts while making motion scenes look smoother. The downside is always artifacts. So turn it off if artifacts are your main issue.
