battery doorbells not working for me either.

the announcement doesn't say NOW... it says " Starting soon , all Nest Cams and Nest Doorbells will be supported,"

So I guess "soon" is not yet

either new firmware needs to be pushed to doorbells or CCWGTV... as we just had a nothing update on the latter it looks like it will be gradual?

It doesn't seem to work with the new cameras. Only cameras that work with the nest app.

Neat but only my wired nest doorbell seems to be supported. My battery powered doorbell and flood light camera cannot be streamed.

I recently purchased a Blink doorbell from Amazon (primarily because it was super cheap and offers local storage). I have Amazon Echos as my primary devices although I also have Google Home products in every room as well. I also have 2 Fire sticks which now sit unused because I GREATLY prefer Android TV.

I say all that because I'm extremely disappointed that these smart devices need to abandon the silo approach and be more consumer friendly. That criticism applies to both Google and Amazon. I'd happily switch to YouTube Music if I could access it on my Echos. I'm sorry, the Google speakers are just not nearly as good as the Echo IMHO. I can see why both companies want to keep consumers in their ecosystem, but Amazon now offers YouTube on their TV devices and Google offers Prime Video. I can view my Blink cameras on my Pixel 6; there's just no convincing me that security stuff shouldn't be cross-platform.

Hasn't this always been the case? I've been watching my eufy doorbell stream to my tv about a year ago

I've been able to view my wired doorbell and Nest Cam Indoor on my Chromecast since I first got it at launch just by asking in assistant, was it just the wireless ones or those set up in Home rather than the Nest app that couldn't do this?

Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Best thing is, now the police can watch your Nest video as well, without a warrant!
