Turning on Android TV projector with phone

by Xaro

I have a Formovie mini projector dice , which works great, but I want to automate turning it on and I can't figure out how.

Because it's meant to use a battery, when the device turns off it stops the WiFi and doesn't receive commands from my phone or automations. This means I can't turn it out remotely.

Now, bluetooth remotes do turn it on.

My question is: Has anyone figured out how to make a device like this turn on without having to use a bluetooth remote? I'm at the point where I'm considering opening up one of the remotes and trying to wire something to it to do the button press remotely.

If it's like LG televisions and a bunch of other eletronics, the Power on/off button isn't bluetooth but Infrared, only the other buttons are bluetooth. Maybe you can have a smart infrared blaster learn that button.

I have one of those projectors. The way that I do it is to enable suspension instead of turning it off. That way it still broadcasts as a chromecast device on your network and you can turn it on simply by chromecasting something with your phone or turning it on using the google home app.
