it's in the playstore , if you are on the same wifi on your phone and your google tv you can see if an app is available for Android tv ,it tells you where you want to install the app .
Yes. The official Twitch app runs on Google TV, and there are several third party apps as well.
As for an easy way to see what apps are available... kinda. When you search on the Play Store, you can filter the listings by device, but only for devices that you have registered to your account. So you have to actually own a Google TV device to do this. As a rule, though, anything that works on Android TV works on Google TV, since literally the only difference is the launcher.
Don't think of Google TV as a different operating system but just as a launcher on top of Android TV.

Also highly recommend S0undTV, it is MUCH better and more configurable.
There's a official app, and there are two great unofficial apps that have some great features (bttv ffz emotes, ad blocking, bot messages blocking, ...) my favourite is S0undTV or you can use SmartTV.
