I just recently bought this new TCL TV and experience frequent crashes; sometimes while changing the channel on cable and sometimes within apps. Like today I opened the YouTube app and the TV just didn't respond anymore and I had to unplug it so it would reboot.
Anyone else experiencing these kind of things on Android TV?
I can't be much help but I have had an Android TV for a bit more than a year. I finally realized that once I accepted the fact that it has a mind of it's own it was a lot less stressful. Mine likes to reset itself. I gave up having more than a few apps so now it isn't a P. I. A. to just add them back. Luckily most apps once you log in have your history and favs saved.
TCL Tv used to go black, it was still on but no audio no picture. I could turn it on and off but nothing. I did a factory reset and haven't experienced it since then but who knows one day maybe since i haven't used the tv that much since then due to vacation. Try factory reset, mine actually had everything saved so a reset was literally no issue it just took some time.
