That's the normal Android TV interface not Google TV. You should be able to customize it and remove or rearrange the feeds.

This happens when you update your Android system webview app on play store, either it gets updated automatically or if you change your region, it is still android tv though and not Google tv as GTV has 2 more sections

You can block some IPs on the network level and get rid of these shitty ads. That's what I do.
So I was watching the office from prime video and wanted to open an app, when out of nowhere I see the new interface, I got a little freaked out as I wasn't notified about this which I wish Google would have done at least somewhere in the play store, I am not a huge fan of the new interface especially since there is just a mess of apps and ads everywhere, but I did manage to restore the old interface thankfully
Lesson learned, don't use a VPN for too long if you don't want the new Google tv style interface
